AN: New story, all other chapters will be way, way, longer. All at least 1,000 words. This is just a prequel type thing. Also, would love a beta! )

Disclaimer: Not mine, though I wonder how much it would take to but them off of the person who owns the rights right now. Probably more than the -35 bucks I have now. Thats right, folks! DO NOT OWN THE BOOKS OR THE MOVIES!

Edmund avoided stares as he walked through his school hallway, ducking his head and lifting his shoulders in an attempt to hide his face. It didn't work. He felt as though the stares were penetrating his ebony hair, and that he was being dissected slowly and under great scrutiny. In a way, he was. Everything about him was noted, his likes, dislikes, habits, study regiments, everything. All because of one stupid fight.

Peter held his head up with the pride of a Narnian king, back straight, shoulders back, eyes blazing. He was under scrutiny and judgment, not unlike his brother. But for all the different reasons. He was wanted to help out, to leak information of his family to the school board, to his mother. It wasn't going to happen. If anyone got in the way of protecting his family, they were going to be stopped. It happened in Narnia, too. Though to Peter, dueling the accused seemed so much easier than the grueling lectures and interviews. But no matter. These people would get nothing, not now, not ever.

Lucy found it hard to skip happily through the hallways, grinning as if nothing was wrong. Everyone knew about their family's problems, of the school dropout and the fights and the hardness of them all. They had all hardened, Lucy saw that. She perhaps saw it better than anyone in the school or in her family. But she knew why. Narnia had changed them for the better. It had taught them to do what's right and stand up for one another. It had taught them to never give up and to never go down without a fight.

All of the Pevensie children were odd to outside eyes. All of them were regal, tough, and confident. They gave off the air of ones who knew they were good, if not only subconsciously. They were all incredibly smart, and tried to hide it, for some reason. They all pretended to not comprehend something well within their range, but made the mistake of letting it show that they were capable of thought processes well beyond all of their teacher's comprehension. It scared the teachers and staff. So they were calling them in.

So, what'd you think? I know its not long, can you please not mention it in the review I just know you're going to give me? Right? Because reviews make me happy! So, drop a line, and you'll probably see chapter 1 sometime next week. (I've decided to set aside two hours a day for writing. Should have it all done by the end of sumer.) Oh! By the way, I have no idea how long this is going to go on for, maybe about 10-20 chapters. Also, its supposed to be a humorous fic, but not untill later chapters. Ari
