AN: Random word drabbles. Think I might do 13 of these. Enjoy. (Oh, you know, and review, so I don't get bored with them and stop. No. That wasn't a threat. It's a promise.)
Now
His Police Girl used to be the epitome of innocence. But, now, thirty years later, when he checks in on one of her 'normal' nights, he sees that this is no longer the case.
His fledgling used to be just that, a fledgling, a beginner, young. Now, thirty years later, he realizes that she's half a century old, which was roughly one tenth of his age, but older than most vampires littering this planet.
His little girl used to be small and scared, understandably cowering behind him when faced with a seemingly impossible task. She was never a coward, but now, she almost reminded him of himself, in the nearly desperate way she craved a real, fair fight, between two creatures of the night.
His Seras Lynne Victoria used to be quiet, speak only when spoken to. Now, he realized, at the first meeting held since his re-solidification, she not only spoke her mind, but she offered intelligent suggestions, suggestions that Integra took to heart and kept in mind.
His Seras used to cling to her humanity frantically, desperate to keep a semblance of her mind human. Now, she'd let go of it. She remained a truly good person, an angel, Walter had called her before⦠but she was now a vampire. A real true vampire.
His Queen didn't used to fit the standards necessary for the title. But now, now she was everything he needed her to be.
