Chapter 1: Unusual Beginings
This is my first story and hopefully you enjoy this as much as me.
Disclaimers: I don't own any of the Spyro the dragon characters etc; except for my own OCs.

Now, on with the story!
It had been a long time since the raid on the dragon Temple. The Dark Master had attacked with his forces and stole two eggs, one black and one with a strange crystal that had been embedded and grown into the egg. Ignitus, the Fire Guardian, had managed to save the last purple colored egg and hide it near a dragonfly village.
Since then the Dark Master had separated the two eggs in his fortress. Not long afterward the black egg hatched and Malefor had corrupted the hatchling instantly, and had named the hatchling Cynder.
Malefor had been sitting in the room with the other egg. The egg started to crack, which pulled The Dark Master from his thoughts. He looked down at the egg as it hatched and the hatchling crawled out. The hatchling was black with a red underbelly and underwings. It only had one horn that began in the center on the front of his head. The horn started an inch above his eyes and it molded around his head like a helmet. It curved towards the back of his head and is a bit longer than a normal dragons at his age.
The most interesting thing that caught The Dark Masters attention was the crystal in the hatchlings chest. The crystal was a flattish orb that had veins of the crystal growing out from it. Inside the crystal was a white glowing liquid that flowed around in it. Upon looking closer Malefor saw that the horn was also made out if the same crystal. The hatchling's tail blade was in a more curved crescent blade shape and was made out of crystal as well. The hatchling looked up at him with an odd pair of eyes, one silver and one gold color.
Malefor grinned evilly as he breathed a few wisps of Dark element which flew straight at the hatchling. The crystal flashed bright and the wisps withered and dissipated. "Interesting little hatchling, " Malefor stated as more wisps were released from his maw. The crystal glowed again and suddenly an explosion went off, which blasted the small hatchling across the room and rendered it unconscious. Malefor leaned over and turned the hatchling over, revealing that the crystal now had a black Eerie glowing liquid inside it. "How does…Dane sound for a name, my little hatchling?" The Dark Master growled evilly as he retreated from the room.
Well there you have it my first chapter One of hopefully many to come.
