Edward in Gym
As I made my way into the locker room the thoughts of hormonal self-conscience teenage boys forced their way into my head. I quickly changed not wanting to stay any longer than necessary in the hell of a locker room. I had Alice in this class and I walked over to her as I entered the gym.
While I looked around at the other students, Alice's mind screamed at me.
Make sure you concentrate today she said.
I wondered what she meant but when I looked into her mind all I found was the entire Cinderella movie being translated into Italian.
The thoughts in the room were becoming increasingly annoying as Lauren and Jessica walked into the gym. They just happened to be wearing form-fitting tank tops and short-shorts. Isn't there a dress code? I pretended to examine the ceiling as I tried to block out everyone's thoughts.
My attention refocused in the teacher as he started class. We would be playing volleyball this unit, that would explain the volleyball nets – use your common sense people! Alice and I paired up for practicing serving. We expertly overhand served the ball to each other. The other would then bump the ball carefully back.
We continued this until the teacher assigned us to a team for the mini tournament. I was on a team with Eric and Lauren – uh oh. Alice was right, I better be careful.
Luckily, Lauren was on the volleyball team so she could actually play. Eric on the other hand kept on tripping and hitting people with the ball on accident.
The rest of the class was pretty uneventful. Lauren and I won a couple of games (with no help from Eric who just gave the other team points). As the class ended, I was thinking about Alice's advice, nothing had happened.
While lost in thought Lauren came and tapped me on the shoulder.
"You did really well today. You should come to one of our gamesand line judge," she told me.
Yuck, double yuck. She was imagining me watching her play, in her super-short spandex, none-the-less.
I will forever be scared.
As I walked towards the boys' locker room I saw/heard Alice doubled over from laughing so hard. She was going to pay, to hell with Jasper!
I changed and left the humans who needed to shower. I was sick of their disgusting minds.
