'Soon, it shall be soon...'
The cloaked woman stared out the window towards the setting sun, bathing the white marbel walls in shades of red and gold, and outlining her figure perfectly. She was smiling under the thick black veil over her face, gripping her weapon tightly and fidgeting, making the chain attached to her left leg rattle.
'Soon my old friend...Just wait a bit longer.'
Black gloved hands gripped tighter on the rod of the double-ended-spear, the blood red blades shining in the evening light.
The sun had almost completely vanished, the red and gold light fading into the dark blue and black of the night sky. The woman stood, and raised her weapon towards one of the rusted links of the chain, gaze still locked on the sunset.
'Come now old friend, I know this is your weakest time, but that is no excuse to take longer than usual.'
Finally, the sun no longer shed it's light for the day, leaving the new moon to reign in the sky.
With a twisted laugh, the woman struck the chain with the spear until it snapped, sparks flying each time the two metals came in contact. The second it broke, she tore off the clasp on her leg, laughing even more.
"Do you see this Manny?! DO YOU SEE THIS?! I'm free! FREE I TELL YOU!" She twirled around, cloak swishing around, revealing her slender but curvy figure. She stopped and reached for the cloak, laughter turning into overjoyed chuckles.
The second she tried tugging it off, she cried out in slight pain, jerking her hand away and looking at it. Steam was rising from her palm, what sounded like an irritated growl leaving her throat.
"That one was weaker at least...Just a few more days until I get these damn charms off." She said in annoyance, wanting nothing more than to tear the cloak, veil, and gloves off and feel the night air on her skin.
She then walked through the halls of mixed smooth marble and rugged mountain stone, weapon in one hand and the other empty, until she finally reached a large door. With a hard pull, it flew open, letting the cool night air in.
"I'd forgotten what fresh air was like..."
With a grin, she turned to the faint outline of the black moon, another snarl escaping her.
'You'll never make me forget all of these simple things again Manny.'
She scoffed, and walked into the dense forest, humming a small tune as she went.
'Just because I had more power than you, doesn't mean that you had to weigh me down and imprison me. I never planned to over throw you...But I will make you suffer for all of this.'
