I walk for miles, trying to get to the gate.
Blood flows from my right leg, and my vision swims.
Suddenly, I can see it, but it's still so far away.
I don't think I can make it. It's too far. My doubts and fears triumph.
My steps falter.
I stop, collapsing to the ground.
Three others stop, too.
No.
They shouldn't be here. They can't be real.
But I see them.
They are silent and strong.
There are three.

I stand.
I walk again.
They walk with me.
I make it home.
I wake to three.
