A little idea I had in regards to the popular Neo Heisei Riders Tail by So-Pro Warrior, this time doing things from the Super Sentai side of Toei. And really, can you honestly see the gang from Fairy Tail NOT getting along with the Gokaigers? This will mostly be based on the anime, though aspects of the manga will show up, and when I run out of anime episodes I will start relying on manga chapters. Disclaimer: I don't own Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Metal Hero, or Fairy Tail.

Chapter 1: Journey to a New Reality

Akarenger finished off the last of the Combatants the mysterious new organization sent against the Super Sentai. This current year had been mostly quiet, usually new Super Sentai were formed on a yearly basis, his own team, Gorenger, and JAKQ being exceptions. Speaking of JAKQ, Big One approached him, having finished off his own group of enemies. "We learned what this organization had planned," he said, "Follow me, this has to be seen to be believed."

Over the last month, Combatants from every enemy fought by the Super Sentai, forty generations worth, had been banding together and attacking Japan. Of course, the Super Sentai banded together to fight these warriors, soon enough reducing their numbers to near zero. Big One lead Akarenger to a large area, where the remnants of various Combatants could be seen. "More than forty years of this and they still hold a grudge," Akarenger noted.

"And it seems they've realized something," Big One replied, "They can't hope to defeat us without leadership, but the individual groups keep fighting with one another. To that end, I believe they plan on calling in help from another dimension." He pointed to the large portal glowing at one end of the area. It looked large enough to send an entire carrier through. Akarenger noted this and said, "You mean one of the Kamen Rider worlds?" "I don't think so," Big One said, shaking his head, "Those are still part of our world, albeit branched off. I think this portal leads to another dimension entirely and from the looks of it, they've already gone through."

Akarenger nodding in understanding. "Then we need to follow them. But too many Super Sentai going in at once, plus our combat mechs, could cause more problems for that world. Still, there is one way we can all go through and still have minimal presence." "Right," Big One replied, "The Gokaigers. They recently returned to Earth after an excursion to the center of the Zangyack Empire. We'll contact them and see if they're willing to take on this mission."

As it happened, Marvelous didn't mind the idea of taking on the task. The idea of finding treasure in a new world was appealing, and any chance to hunt down stragglers from the Zangyack was appreciated. The Treanger Chest was filled up with the keys for all forty Super Sentai. Gai was at first concerned about using the Zyuohger keys, but the gorilla zyuman Larri assured him that using the key to channel zyuman power as opposed to a Champion Symbol only counted as borrowing, and would not adversely effect the Zyuohgers. The Chest even held the keys for Kamen Rider OOO and the Metal Heroes. With everything set up, the Gokaiger sailed their Gokai Galleon through the portal.

"The place looks old-fashioned, doesn't it?," Luka noted as they materialized at the other end of the portal. "We did get a few diaries from the Combatants who made excursions back and forth through the portal," Doc said, "From the looks of it, we wound up near the port-town of Hargeon, in the kingdom of Fiore." The Gokaigers went through a final system check. Gai in particular made sure he could still summon the GoZyuDrill, since it was an alternate reality they were in.

"Looks like everything's still working," Doc said, "Captain, shall we drop anchor?" "Aye," Marvelous, "But in the water. We don't want to make a bad first impression in this new world." When the Gokaigers first arrived on Earth, months before they met Gai, they had tried the direct approach to finding the Greatest Treasure in the Universe, only to learn no one had heard of it. He had a feeling if they tried the same thing to find the hideout of the Combatants, it would have the same result. Their best bet was to pound the pavement, and gather rumors from the townfolk.

Marvelous soon found himself near a train station, where he saw a bizarre sight. What looked to be a small blue cat walking on its hind legs was trying to get a guy with pink hair off the train. Said guy was leaning out the window, clearly suffering from motion sickness. Hearing the whistle of the train, Marvelous quickly leapt over and pulled the guy out of the window, just as the train started to take off. "Thanks for that mister," the cat said, causing Marvelous to raise an eyebrow.

"Natsu was about to wind up carried off again," the cat continued, "He just breaks down with motion sickness on any vehicle, even if it's standing still." Marvelous nodded. He wasn't too surprised at seeing a talking cat, he'd seen weirder just traveling the universe with AkaRed, let alone acting as a Super Sentai ranger. "Is he going to be okay?" "Just give him a few seconds on solid ground," the cat said dismissively, "He'll be right as rain. My name's Happy, by the way." He extended a paw, which Marvelous shook. "I'm called Captain Marvelous."

Meanwhile, Gai, Ahim, and Doc had decided to check out the various stores around town. Ahim had been distracted by one shop selling magic trinkets. Inside, a young blonde woman was speaking to the shop owner. "You're kidding! You mean in this whole town there's only one magic shop!?" The shop owner nodded. "Hargeon is mostly a fishing village. In fact I'd wager most of the folks who live around here don't know how to use magic. I only opened this shop to sell to the wizards who frequently pass through while on missions."

The shop owner tried to cheer her up by offering a magic item that could change the color of a person's clothes, but the girl wasn't interested. "What I really wanted were some powerful Gate Keys..." Ahim approached the girl. "Excuse me, but what do you mean by Gate Keys?" "Oh," the girl said, "They're keys used to summon Celestial Sprits." Her eyes lit up when she saw a key on display. "Like this one with a dog on it! I bet it looks really cute."

Gai clicked his belt and got out the KibaRanger key. "I wonder if they use a device like our Ranger Keys." "Oh," the girl said, "Are you magic users too?" "Indeed," Ahim said, "Though our magic is mostly channeled through these keys." "Same here," the girl admitted, "Oh yeah, my name's Lucy Heartfilia." Ahim bowed. "I am Ahim de Famille." Gai came up next to her. "I'm Gai Ikari." Doc rubbed the back of his head. "I'm Don Dogoier, but everyone just calls me Doc."

Meanwhile, Marvelous, Happy, and the pink-haired guy, ran into Luka and Joe. As they started walking, the pink-haired guy said, "By the way, I never properly introduced myself. I'm Natsu Dragneel." Marvelous nodded. "I'm called Captain Marvelous." "Name's Luka Millfy," Luka chimed in. "And I'm Joe Gibken," Joe finished. Happy pointed to Marvelous. "Don't you have a last name?" Marvelous shrugged. "I hardly remember my family to begin with, so I've gone through life just being called Marvelous. The only real memory I have of my past before becoming part of a crew is being saved from a burning wreckage."

It was true, for the most part. Marvelous had very little memories of his childhood other than being rescued by Space Sheriff Gavan. Beyond that, his first real memories involved hunting for treasure on his own, which took an interesting turn when he encountered the bounty hunter Kiaido. Perhaps it was fate that just one day later he ran into AkaRed, after vowing to get stronger. The rest of his memories were dominated by his time with AkaRed and Basco, before Basco betrayed them, and then later with meeting his current crew.

"Just two people for a crew?," Natsu asked. "Actually, there are three others," Joe explained, "They should be around here somewhere." "We were looking for certain villainous groups that have caused trouble in the past," Luka explained, "And we split up to search the city." "We came here looking for someone called Salamander," Natsu explained, "He might have a connection to a dragon named Igneel." Marvelous nodded. "Well, for now it might be best to search together."

Just then they heard a nearby commotion. A crowd of girls had been gathered around a man wearing a cloak, who was nursing a handprint on his cheek. The trio chuckled when they saw Ahim, her posture clearly stating that she had been the one to slap him. The other girls were clearly distraught, but Lucy looked like she was coming out of a stupor. "What's going on here?," Marvelous asked. "Ah, Marvelous-san," Gai said, seeing his friends, "We saw this crowd gathering and wanted to take the opportunity to ask questions about local rumors, but this guy came out and all the girls started going nuts."

"Lucy here seemed to start going in a trance," Doc continued, "As were most of the girls, except for Ahim." Ahim sighed. "Then, for some reason, this oaf tried getting closer. I started to feel uncomfortable and slapped him. When the other girls protested, I yelled at them to be quiet. I do apologize, Sir Marvelous, that was most unbecoming." Marvelous shrugged. "Any girl in her right mind would have done the same." Lucy blinked. "Then... I wasn't in my right mind...? Could it have been a spell?" She sighed. "I can't believe I thought I was falling in love with him."

Natsu looked at the guy. "So who are you supposed to be?" The man seemed to recover and chuckled. "Why I am the great Salamander. Surely you've heard of me?" Natsu looked nonplussed. "Salamander? You? Looks like I wasted my time coming here." The man called Salamander looked taken aback, but cleared his throat. "Anyway, I have business elsewhere. Ta-ta for now." He snapped his fingers and conjured a magic circle, which let him fly away on a stream of purple flames.

Later Lucy, Natsu, Happy, and the Gokaigers were eating at a local restaurant. Natsu and Marvelous were bonding quickly, each having consumed several plates of food. Lucy explained a bit of who she was and that she was planning on joining a wizard guild. "Hey Ahim," she said, "Since you and your friends are wizards, do you plan on joining a guild?" The six Gokaigers seemed to consider it. "It would make gathering information easier," Doc noted.

Joe nodded. "And Combatants aren't too strong. Any mage worthy of joining a guild could easily defeat them by the dozen, meaning we'd have plenty of backup." "We could even earn more of the local currency by taking on guild jobs," Luka exclaimed. Ahim nodded. "Miss Lucy, do you have any recommendations as to which guilds we should consider joining?" "That's easy!," Lucy said, her eyes lighting up, "It's the same guild I plan on joining, Fairy Tail! The most popular out of all the guilds! Their members frequently grace the pages of Sorcerer Magazine!"

Later, after paying for the meal, and Natsu getting into an argument with Lucy, the Gokaigers and Natsu were walking through town. "That was a bit rude," Ahim said, "She was graciously offering to pay for our entire meal." "Not to mention," Marvelous said, "You never told her you were a part of the very guild she wanted to join." Natsu spun to look at Marvelous. "How did you know that?" Marvelous pointed to the tattoo on Natsu's right shoulder, exposed after he took off his jacket for a second. "That's the mark of the Fairy Tail guild, from what I saw in the magazine," Marvelous explained.

Natsu looked at the mark and grinned. "Man, you really are marvelous." He then started sniffing the air. "That girl... She's near the fake Salamander again." The Gokaigers looked confused. "How do you know that?," Gai asked. "Natsu has a really good sense of smell," Happy explained, "And once he has someone's scent, he never forgets it." The group followed the smell to see Lucy and the fake Salamander, the fake offering to help Lucy join Fairy Tail.

Marvelous scoffed. "He's trying to lure her into a trap. If you couldn't recognize him, he's clearly no member of Fairy Tail." Natsu nodded. "You're right, he's not. We might as well help her out." "He's hosting a party later tonight," Doc noted, "Marvelous, do you think we'll have to use our powers?" "No doubt," Marvelous admitted, "I never expected to have to use it so soon into our investigation, and certainly not against the locals. But as pirates, when we see something we don't like..." He smacked his fist into his palm. "We wreck it."

Lucy was at a low point in her life after learning about Salamander's plans. Just as she was starting to lose faith in Fairy Tail, Natsu and the Gokaigers crashed aboard the ship. Unfortunately, Natsu quickly fell victim to the swaying ship and his motion sickness kicked. Luckily, Marvelous and his crew were still just fine. The fake Salamander and his cronies looked confused. "How are you not on the ground like him?" Marvelous looked back at Natsu. "Him? His sense are sharper than normal, so being on this vessel is making him nauseous."

The Gokaigers stood together in a line. "But as for us," Marvelous said as he hit his belt, summoning the Gokai Red key, "We're used to life on a ship." The Gokaigers got out their Mobilates, save for Gai who had his Gokai Cellular. The first five flipped their keys into active mode, while Gai placed his inside the Cellular. "Gokai Change!" "Gokaiger!" A twist of the keys and a press of a button, and the six Gokaigers were quickly transformed into their Ranger forms. The transformation took one-tenth of a millisecond in real time, but slowed down it would look like the Gokaigers were floating in space, having been changed into black jumpsuits, an XXV flying out of their transformation devices, XVI in Gai's case.

The first X hit and created vests for the group, the V created helmets, and the second X and Gai's I created their sigils. Marvelous made a motion of brushing off his collar. "Gokai Red!" Joe made a motion like he was pushing up a hat. "Gokai Blue!" Luka partially folded her arms while swiping her hand across her face. "Gokai Yellow!" Doc started rubbing his pants. "Gokai Green!" Ahim gave a small curtsey. "Gokai Pink!" Gai made a flashy spin and posed with his arms open vertically in relation to the others. "Gokai... Silver!" The group then posed as one as Marvelous called out, "Kaizoku Sentai..." The whole group then called out, "Gokaiger!"

Salamander looked shocked. "Was that... Requip Magic?" Marvelous chuckled. "Something like that. Now... Let's make a show of it!" The main five Gokaigers got out their Gokai Guns and started blasting, Gai doing the same with his Gokai Spear's Gun Mode. The assault caused several cronies holding Lucy to instantly drop her, at which point Happy came in and grabbed her with his tail, quickly flying her out of there. "It's a good thing those pirates are here," Happy said, "Natsu's useless on a moving vehicle."

Lucy looked shocked. "Huh? They're pirates? Ah, nevermind that! My Gate Keys got knocked into the water somewhere!" Soon enough Lucy was able to spot them. Grabbing a gold one with the symbol for Aquarius, she called out, "Open! Gate of the Water-bearer!" She placed the key into the water and turned it. "Aquarius!" Meanwhile, the Gokaigers were making a mockery of Salamander's cronies. "Damn you!," he said, "You dare mess with a member of Fairy Tail!?"

Joe chuckled. "Then where's your mark of the guild? We saw a picture of it in Sorcerer's Magazine, so we'll know if it's a fake." Salamander looked taken aback, but tried to recover. "Come now, you louts! We've already seen everything they can do! Just guns and swords, it can't be that hard to beat them!" Marvelous chuckled. "We honestly don't need anything else against these mooks, but you're wrong nonetheless." The main Gokaigers hit their belts again, bringing out new keys. "Gokai Change!" "Gorenger!"

The group did a spin as colorful shapes surrounded them, transforming them into older costumes with old-style helmets and capes. The group did a quick pose. "Himitsu Sentai..." "Gorenger!" Marvelous, as Akarenger, reached up to his visor and manifested a whip. Cracking it a few times, he called out, "Red Spark!" The whip crackled with electricity, shocking several mooks into submission. Joe, as Aorenger, followed suit, manifesting a bow and arrow with a missile tip.

Aiming for the cronies, he called out, "Blue Cherry Rain!" The arrow split into multiple shots the emitted sleep gas after exploding, knocking out several cronies. Luka, as Kirenger, manifested her own visor weapon, a long staff topped with a rock-like object. Quickly she spun around to knock out several thugs. Angered, Salamander summoned a magic circle and called out, "Prominence Whip!" He got a shock, however, whim Ahim, as Momorenger, called out, "Momo Mirror!"

The heart-shaped mirror easily reflected the flaming whip, knocking it aside. Ahim then brought out a few heart-shaped shurikens. "Momo Card!" She threw the projectiles, nailing several thugs in the shoulder and causing them to drop their weapons. Doc, as Midorenger, was the last to display his visor weapon, manifesting a boomerang. "Spinning Midomerang!" He threw the Midomerang, which proved to have a razor edge as it struck several thugs.

Just as the Gokaiger were getting in their stride, a sudden wave emerged, sending the entire ship crashing back to the port. As Marvelous leapt free from the crash, he heard Lucy say, "What's the deal? You think can sweep me up with the ship!?" Marvelous looked to see Lucy talking to a floating mermaid with blue hair and scales, who looked rather irate. "Looks like I got the ship by mistake. Guess I failed." Marvelous, incensed, called out, "Red Spark!" The mermaid, Aquarius, literally got the shock of her life.

"What's the big idea!?," she demanded of Marvelous. "You take us all for a ride on a dangerous tidal wave that could wipe out half the town," Marvelous explained, "And you say it was an accident!? What were you aiming for!?" Aquarius pointed to Lucy. "For her, as punishment for dropping my key." "I didn't drop it!," Lucy said incredulously, "It was knocked out of my hand!" "I guess you're a summon spirit then," Marvelous said, "But a pretty poor one if you can't even work with the one you have a contract with."

A vein popped on Aquarius' head. "What did you say...?" "I'm not saying you have to like her," Marvelous explained, "But doesn't it go against your contract to try and kill her? Not to mention, if you know your key was dropped, you can clearly feel beyond it, but can't see anything around it, so you have no right accusing her without knowing the full situation. Lucy, I'd recommend getting rid of that key as soon as possible." Lucy sighed. "I can't. It's the only thing I have left of my mother."

Marvelous noted Aquarius seemed to soften, if barely. She sighed. "Look, whoever you are, if I was really being serious about killing my master, it would have already happened. And to tell the truth, I really was aiming for the ship. I just used more power than necessary so I could teach Lucy a lesson about taking better care of our keys." "Pretty poor lesson...," Lucy noted, "But at least I know you really were helping." Aquarius scoffed, but a small smile came to her face. "Just don't let it happen again." And with that, she vanished.

Marvelous chuckled, then looked for his crew. As it happened, he hadn't been the only one to leap clear. The others had managed it as well, changing back into their Gokaiger forms. Salamander got up, a little dazed, as was his men. From the top of the ship, Natsu could be seen, having fully recovered now that he was on dry land. "So tell me," Natsu said to Salamander, "You said you were supposed to be a Fairy Tail wizard?" Salamander growled. "Yeah, what's it to you? Get him men!"

Several thugs approached. "Natsu!," Lucy called out in concern. "He'll be fine," Marvelous assured her. "Yeah, I probably should have mentioned this to you earlier," Happy explained, "Natsu's a wizard too." Natsu threw off his jacket and walloped the thugs who approached, doing so in such a way that it showed his tattoo to the group. "My name is Natsu of Fairy Tail! And I've never seen you before!" Lucy was as shocked as Salamander.

"That mark on his arm," one of the thugs said, "This guy's the real deal Bora." To the Gokaigers' surprise, it was the fake Salamander who responded. "Don't call me that, you fool!" He seemed more scared than angry, however. "Bora is it?," Marvelous said, slinging his Gokai Sabre over his shoulder, "So now we know your true name." "Oh yeah," Happy said, "I know that name. So that's Bora the Prominence... He used to be a member of the Titan Nose guild, but was kicked out for bad behavior." Lucy looked shocked. "So he was never part of Fairy Tail at all?" Already she could feel her admiration for Fairy Tail returning full force.

Natsu approached Bora, anger in his eyes. "I really have no idea what you're planning here, but I won't let you sully the name of Fairy Tail." Bora smirked. "And just what do you plan on doing about it?" He conjured a massive magic circle. "Prominence Typhoon!" The massive surge of flames engulfed Natsu. Satisfied, Bora turned to the Gokaigers. "And now for you people. I can't allow any witnesses here." Marvelous chuckled. "If you really want to fight seven people, fine."

Bora chuckled. "Seven? Don't tell me you're counting on the girl?" Just then, Natsu's voice could be heard, saying, "Ugh! This is so gross!" Bora's eyes went wide as he turned back to the ship. To his shock, Natsu seemed perfectly unharmed, and was even inhaling the flames. "Natsu told us of his special brand of magic earlier," Gai said smugly, "Dragon Slayer Magic, a type of magic designed specifically to kill dragons. It also leaves him immune to any sort of fire attack." "And as part of that power," Luka continued, "He can can consume the same element as the dragon he learned the magic from to restore his mana, fire in this case."

As Natsu finished his fiery meal, he said, "Are you sure you're a fire wizard? Cuz these are the nastiest flames I've ever tasted." He grinned as he gulped down the last of the flames, Bora completely shocked. "What's going on? Just who are you?" "My name is Natsu Dragneel," Natsu said with a grin, "And I'm the real Salamander." Lucy looked at Natsu in shock. "If it's wizards we're against," Doc said, getting out another key, "Then let's deal with it with more magic."

The group, including Gai this time, got out matching keys, activating them at once. "Gokai Change!" "Magiranger!" The group was now dressed in new costumes with helmets that looked to have mystical animals for motifs, as well as mid-sized capes. Gai was a little different, being more defined with gold and blue. "Mahou Sentai..." "Magiranger!" Marvelous, now as MagiRed, leapt up next to Natsu. "Ready for this?" "You bet!," Natsu replied. He took a deep breath while Marvelous charged his MagiStick. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" "Red Fire!"

The two flame attacks impacted against the group, Bora alone standing due to his magic. However, he was soon assaulted by the other Gokaigers, Joe as MagiBlue, Luka as MagiYellow, Doc as MagiGreen, Ahim as MagiPink, and Gai as MagiShine. "Blue Splash!" "Yellow Thunder!" "Green Ground!" "Pink Storm!" "Smokey Shinning Attack!" Bora found himself hit with each Rangers' element, as well as a genie that resembled a feline.

As the fact went on, Lucy spoke with Happy, "So, I'm guessing Marvelous and the other pirates are using some kind of Requip Magic, but what about Natsu? How is he breathing fire like that?" "The Gokaigers' magic is a little more complicated than that," Happy said, "Basically the keys they have hold mystical properties that let them gain the power of mighty heroes from an unknown land. As for Natsu, he has lungs that can breath fire, scales that can dissolve fire, and claws that be wrapped in fire. His Dragon Slayer Magic turns his whole body into something similar to a dragon."

Meanwhile, Natsu swallowed another attack from Bora. "Now that was a hefty meal! Hey Marvelous! I think I'm about ready to finish this guy off!" "Sounds good!," Marvelous said as he shifted back to his Gokai Red form. He summoned a couple keys from his belt, both the Gokai Red key and Akarenger key. The keys slotted into his weapons, which he pushed together. "Final Wave!" Natsu summoned flames to his fist. Bora looked freaked out at the two attacks aimed at him. "Gokai Blast and Slash!" "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Marvelous' attack knocked Bora into the air, whilst Natsu's sent him sailing into a nearby church bell "Wow," Lucy said, "That was amazing." "And it looks like there was less damage then normal," Happy said, "Most of it was done by Bora." "Which is certainly an improvement over previous incidents involving Fairy Tail," came a rather stern voice. A group of soldiers approached Lucy and the other Gokaigers. The captain came forward and cleared his throat. "Normally this is where we wind up chasing whichever member of Fairy Tail caused the damage this time, but it looks like we'll have to skip straight to incarcerating whatever villain they were fighting."

Natsu grinned as he approached. "Well, that's a refreshing change of pace. I was getting bored of running from you guys. Well, let's go Lucy." Lucy looked confused. "Huh? Go where?" Natsu smiled. "You said you wanted to join Fairy Tail right? I already extended an invitation to Marvelous and his friends, and now I'm offering you the chance." Lucy looked surprised, then smiled. "Okay! Let's go!" "Great," Marvelous said, "We can take my ship." Natsu looked sick already. "Do we have to...?" "It would be faster," Happy noted, "Especially since there's no chance of you getting left behind." Natsu sighed as the group laughed.

To be continued...

In Neo Heisei Rider Tail, the Fairy Tail wizards seem to rub off on the Kamen Riders in all the wrong ways. Here, I'm hoping to do the opposite, have the Gokaigers subconsciously make the Fairy Tail wizards do less collateral damage. Also, I like the idea of Marvelous calling out Aquarius on her bad behavior. Given his own partnership with Machalcon, he'd have a thing or two to say about partnerships with Celestial Spirits. Hope you like this concept. Read and review.
