Iggy sat in a tree, fists clenched in frustration. No one could ever understand how he felt, especially not Ella. He could never let her down, even if he tried. But she didn't realize that. She didn't know he'd give up everything for her. She didn't know he needed her to hold him while he was there, right him when he was wrong, to hold him when he was scared. But most of all he needed her to love him when he was gone. He needed these things because he loved her. He loved her so much it hurt. She was the light in his world of endless darkness. And she had no clue.
'I must just be blind in more than one way.' He thought sadly.
Suddenly he heard the sounds of footsteps running underneath him.
"Iggy!" He heard Ella's voice call out, searching for him.
He jumped down out of the tree, surprising her. But what surprised her more was when he suddenly pulled her into a hug. She got over her initial shock and hugged him back, resting her head on his chest.
Iggy leaned his head down so it was resting on hers. His lips nearly brushed her forehead as he took an anxious breath before whispering to her.
"Love me when I'm gone."
