Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Steam Roller" from Season 4, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
Sir Handel loves his big sturdy wheels. Even though they are unusual, due to the fact that they run well on the track, Sir Handel enjoys using them.
But one day, the other engines wouldn't stop teasing him about them.
"Those wheels look like steam rollers!" they laughed.
"BE QUIET!" snorted Sir Handel. "You're all just jealous!"
"Don't be upset." said Peter Sam, "the engines all teased me about my special funnel, until they learned how useful it is."
"Hear that everyone? Peter Sam says my wheels are special, just like his funnel! I can go faster than anyone of you!"
But Skarloey had a plan.
"If you say you're wheels are special, you'll be able to tackle George!"
"Who's George?" asked Skarloey.
"He's a steam roller!" replied Skarloey.
George had been listening to the other engines, and began making rude comments about them.
"Railways are horrible! They should be torn apart, and made into roads! The engines should be scrapped too!"
Sir Handel didn't like this one bit.
"Just leave it to me! I'll send him away in seconds!"
Skarloey had often heard that talk before, and he warned the others to take much notice, but he hoped that when the two boastful engines met, he and the others would have some fun.
Later that morning, George was at the level crossing, when Sir Handel puffed in.
"Look who it is!" teased George. "It's Sir Handel!"
"And you must be George." replied Sir Handel crossly. "I've heard all about you."
"Your steam roller wheels are no match for me! I'm the best of all!"
"Actually, I'm the best! Goodbye!"
And so Sir Handel puffed away.
George was furious!
Later, Sir Handel was carrying a special goods train, after taking his passengers.
As he was chuffing down the track, he saw George rolling down the road.
Sir Handel tried to get his attention.
"PEEP PEEP!" he whistled loudly
George took no notice.
But there was no room to pass! This made Sir Handel very cross.
"Get out of my way, road hog!"
"I don't move for lazy, imitation steam rollers!"
Then, there was trouble. George bumped right into Sir Handel's train! The train smashed into pieces!
Nothing in the train was damaged, but Sir Handel was beyond, and I mean BEYOND cross.
"Look at what you've done! This is all your fault!"
"No, it was your fault!" growled George.
Everyone argued, until a policeman arrived.
"SILENCE!" he called.
Everyone stopped arguing.
Soon, the road was cleared, and a fence was put up between the road and the rails.
And George was taken away to work elsewhere.
Sir Handel thought that he had sent George away,
He boasted about this to the other engines.
"He's the rudest steam roller I've ever met!"
But soon, some boys arrived, and began teasing Sir Handel.
"Look! Here's Sir Handel! He tried to race a steamroller, but the steamroller nearly beat him!"
Sir Handel never mentioned anything about steam rollers ever again.
