Rachel felt nervous walking up to the canary colored house. The wind was blowing and the faintest smell of early winter glided through the air. Her heart was beating furiously and her limbs were aching for comfort. Rachel Berry, a fierce, confident , diva, didn't feel infinite for once. She felt vulnerable. Her brown hair tied in a messy bun, and her eyes tired from crying. One more step and she would be that much closer to telling Quinn her deepest secret, one that she hid from even herself, for all these years.

Quinn layed on her bed, flipping through a magazine oblivious to the teary eyed girl outside her window. She was trying to self indulge in a little "personal" time, so her door was locked and windows shut.

"Hello Mrs. Fabray, is Quinn here?" Rachel asked, fiddling with the buttons on her coat.

"Yes dear, she's up in her room, would you like to see her?" Judy Fabray asked. Rachel nodded and was lead up the stairs to a pink colored door at the end of the hall. Judy knocked twice and then called for Quinn.

"Quinny! You have a friend here to see you!" Mrs. Fabray called from the other side of the door.

"Mom, I already told you, I don't want to see anyone…" Quinn trailed off when she saw the door open and a pale, fragile Rachel step through the doorway. Quinn told her mom she could leave and invited Rachel to sit on her bed. Quinn noticed Rachel's pink nail polish grow pale and her cheeks streaked with tears.

"What's wrong, Rachel?" Quinn asked nervously.

"I'm sorry to bother you at this time, Quinn. I have to tell you something." Rachel said awkwardly and avoided eye contact with Quinn.

"Rachel, I know we haven't been the best of friends, but you can tell me anything," Quinn replied calmly. The petite brunette wiped a few tears from her cheek and turned to face Quinn.

"Finn asked me to marry him," Rachel said abruptly.

"Oh," Quinn's face became flushed and her eyes seemed to lose color for a moment.

"I told him….I told him I couldn't marry him. We broke up." Quinn suddenly felt her heart thump in her chest. She felt the urge to grab Rachel and hold her.

"I'm so sorry, Rach. I don't know what to say."

"Wait. You didn't hear why I told him I couldn't marry him." Rachel's eyes sparkled in the bedroom light.

"Well, then why?" Quinn asked curiously. Rachel's hands began to shake as she scooted closer to Quinn.

"I told him that I love someone else. I told him that I can't be with anyone but that person," Rachel whispered.

"Who do you love?" Quinn asked, baffled. Rachel's heart began to thump in her chest and her palms became sweaty. She took a big gulp before confessing.

"I love you," she said simply. Quinn took a deep breath in before looking shocked.

"You love me? But…What?" Rachel's face dropped and her heart sank. Of course. Quinn Fabray could never love someone like her. Never.

"I should have known. I'm so stupid. I should have just-" Rachel was stopped mid sentence by Quinn's lips capturing hers in a tender kiss. Rachel's eyes dilated as she looked at Quinn, realizing what was happening. The broke apart, both catching a breath.

"I love you too Rachel," Quinn said adoringly to Rachel.
