"Just a bit more…" Candy thought as she reached out her hand, desperately trying to reach the silhouette in front of her. "Almost…there…" The silhouette continued to carry on forward, continuing to be millimeters from Candy's reach. "Come closer….I beg of you, please." It was then something strange happened: the silhouette stopped; it was the first time it did, in all of the times Candy tried to reach it. "What should I do…?" She was frozen in place, unable to think straight from the sudden change.

But something else was starting to capture her attention. The silhouette was starting to turn around! What should she do? She kept chasing and chasing it, but would she be prepared to know who or what it was?

Suddenly, a loud racket starting to ring in Candy's ears; it was an annoying beeping that wasn't decreasing whatsoever in volume, nor was it showing any signs of stopping. Her eyes flew open as her hand slammed on her alarm clock. Drenched in a cold sweat, she fumbled for her glasses on the bedside table.

"The same dream…again," Candy muttered.

She didn't know why, but ever since that day, she always had that dream. The day she realised she had feelings for Dipper. True, she told Dipper she had no more feelings for him, but deep down, she continued to like him in secret. Knowing it was wise, she never told Dipper her true feelings again, afraid of destroying her relationship with him and Mabel.

After she laid in her bed for while, contemplating the new progression of her dream, Candy wanted to switch out of her sweat-drenched night-gown. She trudged to her closet, still recuperating from the dream, and picked out a pair of her unchanging combo of clothes: a blue-and-white striped long-sleeved top and navy-blue shorts. Of course, she had other clothes, but she just really liked this pair. This resulted into her having about 10 of them.

Candy happily took one and skipped toward her door. She stopped her tracks momentarily when she saw reflection on the full-body mirror on the back of her door. At 18 years old, she had certainly grown into a rather elegant lady.

True, her figure hasn't changed much since 7th or 8th grade, but her slender physique and pearly white skin gave her a ghost-like appearance, accentuated more by her long, luxurious, jet-black locks of hair that she grew out just to wave in the wind. Her lips were a pale shade of red, and the only thing that didn't seem to change over the years were her glasses.

Candy always thought that her glasses made her look dorkier than she really was, but in terms of appearance, not only is it her signature look, it also contemplates her entire aura of a systematic and calculative individual. Deep down, however, she really hasn't changed from 7 years ago, still being the cheerful eccentric between her, Grenda, and Mabel.

"Grenda and Mabel," she thought suddenly, "I wonder how they are now? After all, I'm the only one who stayed in town..." A few years after Dipper and Mabel left, Grenda was once again visited by Marius, ending in a proposal a few months afterwards. She and her mother moved out a few months later, leaving Candy behind in Gravity Falls.

At first she was heartbroken (obviously), being left behind by your two only best friends in the world isn't exactly the happiest thing in the world. Mabel having already left was hard enough, but being left behind by Grenda as well was too much for poor little Candy at the time.

At first, Grenda made sure to be in regular contact with Candy, however, over time, such as with Mabel, the time between each letter coming in was getting longer and longer, until one day, they just stopped.
