Heirs To The Glimmering World
By SMYGO4EVA

Sometimes even the Dimensional Witch had doubts as to whether what she was doing was the right thing, whether it was the right fate for anyone who had contact with her. She may have lived for as long as she can remember, but she knew that this did not make her a supreme ethereal being, not even by fate's cruel hand was she that powerful, or cursed.

Sometimes she wished that she had truly moved on to the other side; then she would not have been trapped like she was. Immortals had no duties to the world she was in now, much less ones for which they would die if they went against fate or wanted to break the true law of existence. She knew that the descendant of one Clow Reed would never understand. She knew that Fei Wong Reed would never let her go, not even one day, the day that pained her most when time's flow would stop for all eternity, and the dead can be revived.

Yuuko could not remember when she was born, so she marked the countless years from the day she had first been brought into the countless world there are, and she would not be alive had it not for Clow, her dearest friend and the one who had cursed her. He had for a single moment wanted her to live when she was near death's door, and his wish was granted when she was frozen in time. A cruel fate, yes, but she knew that he was wishing of her and no one else.

Clow was gone, and now time and memories have been entangled in the tapestry that was threaded for her and for everyone else that dared to destroy time. Nothing mattered anymore; her entire world, her entire life was made up of the endless mists and endless cries of mourning and defeat around her. The mists had only served to strengthen her doubts, but as the tapestry that had longed to weave what providence had in store for her and the ones who were painted upon it

Humanity was not born good or evil, and nothing was black and white. She knew that for the longest time so, she wondered, why did she have to serve them in such a way?

She knew that now the ones whose fate had been realized, soon it was her turn.

Time had returned to her side; she was frozen no more.

She took one tentative step and then another step was known.

Soon she had entered time itself and whatever doubts she may have had had vanished into the swirling mists that she had left behind.

She would soon join Clow, and become one of the heirs of the glimmering world she had wished herself into.
