Just Maybe
"You owe me for this one, Oak," Misty informed with a side glance at the researcher whose arm hers was currently linked with.
"You've only been reminding me for the last 10 minutes, Red," Gary replied with a roll of his eyes.
"Sorry- wasn't sure how many times I had to repeat myself to get it through your thick skull," the gym leader retorted, turning the other way.
"Aw, look at you, apologizing- it's alright, I'll forgive you…just this once, maybe," Gary responded playfully, pretending to be touched.
"Can it, Oak. It's not too late for me to back out and just ditch you here," Misty warned, sending the other an obvious glare.
Her companion shrugged in response, a lazy half-smile making its way onto his lips. Tonight was not the night to piss of the water trainer, and they both were aware of this fact. Misty couldn't help but smirk at his reaction, feeling victorious.
"Now, be a good boy, and just maybe, you'll be rewarded tonight."
