Mmm, Sparkly...

It's not my fault, the plot bunnies made me do it! Don't hurt me! (runs and hides)

Disclaimer: I do in fact own Doctor Who, Labyrinth, and all the glitter in the world.

(For those who are sarcasm impaired, that was a complete lie. I own none of these things. If I did, I would be making oodles of cash off this fic. I'm not.)

Jack looked thoughtfully at the old VHS tape he'd nicked from Rose's old room when they'd last gone to visit her mother. He really hoped he remembered how to use the VCR, because there was no way he was going to ask Rose to remind him.

He didn't think she'd react well to finding out he'd stolen her personal possession so he could watch that incredibly sexy, glittery man whose picture was on the cover.

Tongue sticking out in concentration, Jack slipped the cassette out of the box and into the slot in the VCR. Ha! he thought, got it right first time! It took him slightly longer to figure out that he needed to rewind the tape before it would run, and longer still to figure out quite which button to press in order to achieve that, but he managed it in the end.

He watched the old movie, transfixed. Three times in a row.

As the credits rolled for the last time, Jack sighed in longing. "I wish the goblins would come and take me away right now," he whispered.

As if on cue, the lighting in his room on board the Tardis flickered momentarily. Jack's eyes widened. A tall figure had appeared in the corner. No, he thought, it can't be!

The figure stepped forward into the light and began to speak, but Jack wasn't listening. He was far too busy drinking in the sight of this fascinating and decidedly yummy being, his gaze flickering up and down. The stranger gave him a funny look.

Jack, being Jack, acted on impulse and according to his instincts. He stepped boldly forward and snogged the startled Goblin King for all he was worth.

"Morning, Jack!" Rose greeted him cheerfully the next morning when he emerged for breakfast. "Erm, why are you all covered in glitter?"
