So this is the afterlife huh? He thought to himself. I could get used to the peace and quiet and not having to fight anymore. That's when it happened. He felt an unusual tingling sensation develop through his body. Suddenly all he could hear was screams of pain and horror. He felt the heat of an intense flame on his face. This can't be right, he thought. He opened his eyes and heard that gruesome voice. "Welcome back Link."
Link was a great general. He had saved the King of Hyrule's life during an attack on his carriage. He had shot a man with a knife in his hand who was trying to kill the king. The king thanked Link and told him if he needed anything just ask him. Link told him that he didn't need anything right now but he'll take him up on that offer when he needed it. To bad Link didn't know he would be coming sooner then he thought. Link walked towards the lost woods and notice that the trees around it were dried and withered. Link then smelled a familiar smell. He didn't like how he couldn't remember the smell so he grabbed at a small knife on his belt hidden by an unfilliable sack. He walked over the bridge that was in the middle of the lost woods and walked through the fake wall which now protected the entrance to Kokiri Forest. As he walked into the forest Link stepped , in what he thought , was water. He then saw that the houses were tainted with red splotches. Link ran into everyone's house and found them gruesomely murdered. And that's when Link heard it. He heard that scream that Haunts his dreams till this very day.
