A/N: So here it is, my debut in the Doctor Who fandom. Funnily enough, this was never meant to be my introduction into this world, it just sorta ended up that way. This weird little poem is sort of based on how Ten felt at the end of his life. Basically, you give my a fictional character with angst and I spit out a depressing poem.
Disclaimer: I don't own it. There.
Never travel by yourself
Always have a friend
Just smile like there's nothing wrong
Pretend that it can't end
They always promise forever
And though the Doctor tries
In the end they're all just humans
In the end each of them dies
The curse of this Time Lord
To live through the pain
He hardens his hearts
But he's losing this game
First there was Rose
She helped him restart
He loved the human girl
But they were torn apart
He left her on a beach
It was what they both had feared
He couldn't say "I love you"
Before he disappeared
He met Martha after Rose
She helped him save the day
She fell in love with him
But he just pushed her away
She walked over the whole Earth
And saved us all again
But she wouldn't travel any more
He lost another friend
Then he traveled with Donna
The most Noble of them all
Her temper matched her ginger hair
She wasn't one to fall
And then she was a little more
The DoctorDonna she became
But her mind wouldn't hold the knowledge
Her memory he had to tame
There was also Captain Jack
Once a conman now a hero
As well as Mickey Smith
Who used to be a zero
There was proper Reinette
She saw inside his mind
As well as Astrid Peth
Whom he had to leave behind
He had barely met River Song
By the time they said goodbye
There was his daughter Jenny
He held her as she died
There was sweet Lynda with a "y"
And Jabe who was a tree
There was the Face of Boe
And Roses's mum Jackie
Cassandra found her time to die
Joan Redfern had to let go
There was a woman who died on Midnight
He got help from Sally Sparrow
All these lovely people
So brilliant in their own
But they all had to go somehow
He regenerates alone
Just in his ninth and tenth lives
He caused them all to lose
But maybe there's still hope for him
If he gets to choose
Because a million miles and years away
Or maybe just 2010
Sits a little red haired Scottish girl
She might be his new friend
A/N: How was it? Should I keep writing for this fandom? I hope you enjoyed it, I fell in love with the last stanza. Thanks for reading, it means a lot!
