I don't ever do song-stories, or whatever it is they are called here on fanfiction. But I was listening to Elton John and up comes the song "All The Girls Love Alice". And I thought, hey, with a few minor alterations, this would totally fit HnKnA. That's how much of a dork I am. Anyways, so I changed some lyrics, and added some extra explanation, and this is the fruit of that "labor". Cheers.

Raised to be a lady by the golden rule
Alice was the spawn of a public school
With a double barrel name in the back of her brain
And a simple case of Mummy-doesn`t-love-me blues
Alice was used to not being noticed. As the middle daughter, she saw from the sidelines all the admiration people expressed for her beautiful, talented, elegant sister, Lorina. She passively observed the doting favoritism Edith received. But while she noticed all this love for her sisters,
No one noticed Alice.
Reality it seems was just a dream
She couldn`t get it on with the boys on the scene

Until one day, she follows a strange man down a rabbit hole and finds herself in a whole new world. In this world, life is just a game, and the people merely players. There are role holders who are slightly more important, but in the end, everyone is expendable. Life is no longer precious. People are violent and no one cares for each other. However, there is one exception…

She's embarrassed by this world she's created. Is she really such a shallow, needy person that her "dream" is filled with men to love her? But dream or not, she can't help but start to care for these boys too. Julius, Peter, Elliot, Dee and Dum, Boris, Ace, Nightmare… even Blood, who reminds her of her ex. But she has sworn never to love again. Her lack of response does not seem to deter them, however.

She tries to teach them to keep life precious to them. That they are not all expendable. No matter if they will be replaced or not, they won't be the same, and she would miss them. And slowly, they begin to understand. Or try to. For Alice.
