Hi guys. I truly have no idea where this came from, but it did. It's short but enjoy. Also, it's un-beta'ed.
Not-So-Secret Secret
"Arthur, I have summoned you for a very important reason." Announced Uther to his bored looking son.
"And what is it father?" He replied.
"We must discuss your marriage." Arthur stifled a groan at that response.
"What about my marriage?"
"I am allowing you to marry whomever you want to marry." Arthur's face lit up like a Christmas Tree.
"You're really going to allow me to?"
"Well, no. When I say you can marry anyone, I mean anyone except the servant Guinevere."
"What? Why not?" He protested.
"Because she's not your true love. I wouldn't want you to end up in a failed marriage because you both later find out your actually in love with someone else." He objected with his emerald eyes flashing dangerously.
"Then, pray tell, who am I in love with, father." Arthur snarled critically.
"Merlin, of course." Smirked Uther.
"W-what?" He spluttered.
"Oh, don't deny it. You and Merlin are two sides of the same coin and you must marry him or I will burn that Guinevere girl."
"Morgana will kill you if you do." He panicked.
"I can deal with her. You must go and propose to Merlin or I will kill Guinevere." Uther ordered.
"What did your dad want?" Merlin asked when Arthur returned from seeing his father.
"He wanted to talk to me about marriage."
"Oh." Merlin replied, crestfallen.
Getting down on one knee, Arthur asked "Merlin, will you marry me?"
Merlin's elfish features morphed into a massive grin and he threw himself at the prince, embracing him. "Yes, you prat." But quickly, he became more suspicious of his lover's motives. "Is there a reason as to why you're asking me?" He pondered.
"Father's allowing me to marry you. It seems as though he seen through the façade and has threatened to kill Gwen unless I marry you."
"Well, I'm glad. I love you prat."
"I love you too idiot."
I wonder if this makes sense for anyone. Well basically, it seems that Merlin and Arthur were secretly courting while Arthur was pretending to court Gwen. However, Uther for once wasn't an oblivious prat and saw through it and he was nice, allowing Arthur and Merlin to marry. Yay!
So I would really love to hear what you think about it. Bye.
