The mirror is shattered and peace is won
But two are left alone in this world of the sun
Son of the morning and daughter of night
A union marked by their holy might
Were turned against and marked again
Defeated the corrupted wielder of Din
And watched their friend walk away
Nothing more they could do or say.
They found their solace in each other
The ones that should have known another
And stayed together through the strife
How beautiful their love, unlikely husband and wife
But that twilight still destroyed them yet
Those two extremes should never have met
Ripped apart then torn to shreds
A dying scream and still no red
They left their bodies and hand and hand
Walked away, never seen again
Forever tainted by that dying light
Cursed to wander in this half night.
I don't own Zelda. This was a poem born of the idea that Link and Zelda die because of overexposure to Twili magic/Ganon's spells. It just took a while to work.
