Note: Mai-Hime is an anime that was done by the studio Sunrise and is based on a manga of the same name.

Natsuki Kuga and her girlfriend, Shizuru Fujino, were having a picnic in a park that was a few miles away from both of their houses. The sky was cloudy, but Natsuki enjoyed the breeze. It helped her take a break from all the stress that she had felt recently. Fighting the forces of evil often made her feel tired. She faced Shizuru and said, "Thank you for agreeing to go here with me."

Shizuru smiled and replied, "You're welcome. I always love being with you."

Natsuki coughed and asked, "Can you hand me the tissue box?"

Shizuru answered, "Of course." While grabbing the tissue box she accidentally knocked both her and Natsuki's cellphone near the pond. However, neither of them knew what had happened to their cellphones.

Yuuichi Tate was digging around the garbage can to find cool stuff. He looked behind him and saw Natsuki and Shizuru's cellphones. He said, "I usually find treasures in garbage cans and dumpsters. It appears that the ground is the new type of mall."

An older man overheard Yuuichi and replied, "How repulsive."

Yuuichi looked down and saw Natsuki and Shizuru's cellphones on the ground. He had been wanting Natsuki and Shizuru to break up for a long time so he could date Natsuki. He decided to use Shizuru's cellphone to send Natsuki a break up text. He figured that way Natsuki would think that Shizuru doesn't want to see her anymore. It was a pathetic plan, but Yuuichi was a foolish person. He grabbed the cellphones and started using them to write break up texts.

After writing the texts he grabbed a tie out of the garbage can and put it on so that he would seem like a gentleman. He gently picked up the cellphones and walked to Natsuki and Shizuru. He bowed to them and said, "Greetings ladies. It's nice to see you."

Natsuki said, "Hi Yuuichi. What's going on?"

Yuuichi tried to talk in a fancy voice while saying, "I was taking a stroll through the park so that I could observe the subtle beauties of the city. However, I found your cellphones." He handed the phones to Natsuki and Shizuru.

Natsuki said, "Thank you for saving our phones. I wouldn't of even noticed that they were gone."

Yuuichi replied, "You're welcome. Good afternoon Madame." He waved goodbye and walked away.

Natsuki turned on her phone and said, "I better check my texts."

Shizuru replied, "No need to focus on them now."

Natsuki said, "Fair enough. When I'm with you I tend to forget about the others things in my life."

Shizuru smiled and asked, "Is that a compliment?"

Natsuki replied, "It is. You help me forget about all of the problems in my life and you make me focus on having an optimistic view of life." She held Shizuru's hand and stared into the sky. It was a simple, but beautiful moment.

A few hours later Natsuki walked home and went into her bedroom. She got out her cellphone and started checking her texts. She noticed that she had a text that came from Shizuru's cellphone. She was unaware that the text was written by Yuuichi. The text said, "Hi Natsuki. You're kind of a cool and pretty girl, but I don't wanna see you anymore. I'm bored with you. Um, go away."

Natsuki was very confused and upset by the text. It didn't seem like the type of thing that Shizuru would ever write. Her lack of confidence made her question the reality of the text for a brief moment, but she quickly snapped out of it and knew that it was a fake text. She decided to call Shizuru.

Shizuru instantly answered and said, "Hi honey."

Natsuki replied, "Hi Shizuru. I'm sorry for calling so soon after our latest date."

Shizuru responded, "Don't even feel the slightest bit sorry sweetheart. I always love talking to you. What's going on?"

Natsuki said, "I got a weird text that came from your cellphone. It was about you breaking up with me, but I know that you wouldn't write a thing like that."

Shizuru smiled and replied, "I'm glad to hear that you trust me darling."

Natsuki said, "I questioned how the text could of been sent by your cellphone, but I realized that it was sent during the time where our cellphones fell near the pond. Somebody used your phone to try to break us up."

Shizuru replied, "Yuuichi's the one who handed the phones back to us."

Natsuki angrily growled and said, "Yuuichi used your phone to send me a break up text."

Shizuru asked, "Why would he do a thing like that?"

Natsuki answered, "I hate to make fun of people, but it seems like he's become pathetic."

Shizuru said, "Yuuichi should know that I would never break up with you."

Natsuki replied, "And I'm not planning on ever leaving you."

Shizuru smiled and said, "I love you."

Natsuki blushed and replied, "I love you too."

The next day Natsuki drove to Yuuichi's house and knocked on the door. Yuuichi was wearing pajamas that were filled with chocolate stains. He wanted to impress Natsuki so he quickly ran to his bedroom and got on a fancy white shirt and blue pants. He opened the door and said, "Greetings Natsuki."

Natsuki folded her arms and replied, "Hi Yuuichi. I'm ticked off at you."

Yuuichi tried to look offended while asking, "Why?"

Natsuki answered, "Your scheme to try to get me and Shizuru to break up was rude and pathetic."

Yuuichi sighed and said, "I'm sorry Natsuki. I really like you and I want to date you."

Natsuki replied, "I'm sorry, but I don't want to go out with you. I hope that you become mature and find somebody."

Yuuichi responded, "Okay, I'll try to do that. Can I buy you lunch as a way to make it up to you?"

Natsuki said, "I already had lunch. I'm going to go see the new Alan Smithee film. See ya."

Yuuichi was desperate so he decided to work on another plan to get Natsuki and Shizuru to break up. He once dressed up as Shizuru to trick Natsuki, but that didn't work. He knew that Shizuru was more gullible than Natsuki so he figured that he could trick Shizuru into thinking that he was Natsuki.

Yuuichi got on a pink shirt, a blue skirt, red high heels, and pink lipstick. He used a jacket that had a hood so that he could cover up his hair. He got into his car and drove to Shizuru's house. He knocked on the door.

Shizuru opened the door and was confused by Yuuichi's costume. She was confused about who was there. She said, "Um, hi."

Yuuichi replied, "Hi Shizuru. I'm Natsuki."

Shizuru glared at Yuuichi and said, "Don't you dare lie about being my darling Natsuki."

Yuuichi stubbornly replied, "I'm totally Natsuki."

Shizuru said, "I know Natsuki incredibly well and I can tell that you aren't her. You would fail at dressing up like Natsuki for Halloween. Take off your hood."

Yuuichi replied, "Fine." He took his jacket off.

Shizuru saw Yuuichi's blonde hair and said, "It's Yuuichi." She shook her head with disappointment and said, "You've sunken to a new low."

Yuuichi replied, "That's not entirely true. I once tried dressing up like you to trick Natsuki. I think that this is a fair sequel."

Shizuru asked, "What's your problem?"

Yuuichi said, "I want a girlfriend."

Shizuru replied, "Then you need to treat people with respect and stop these dumb attempts to break people up. Be yourself."

Yuuichi responded, "Good advice. I'll probably start doing that." He went into his car and started driving home. He felt ashamed of how pathetic and dumb he had acted.

Natsuki visited Shizuru's house after finishing the movie that she went to the theater to watch. Shizuru asked, "How was the new Alan Smithee film?"

Natsuki answered, "I could tell that the director was ashamed of it."

Shizuru said, "Yuuichi came by and dressed up like you in another attempt to get us to break up."

Natsuki asked, "Did you fall for his scheme?"

Shizuru shook her head and answered, "Of course not. That poor dude has become so pathetic."

Natsuki said, "I used to worry that someday you'd find somebody better than me, but I learned that you're the most trustworthy and supportive person in my life. I hope that we stay together forever."

Shizuru gently held Natsuki's hand and replied, "I'm going to love you forever."

Natsuki said, "There's nothing that would ever make me want to break up with you."

Shizuru replied, "That's good to know."

Natsuki kissed Shizuru. Shizuru smiled and said, "I feel sorry for Yuuichi."

Natsuki replied, "But he acted like a jerk."

Shizuru said, "But he loves you. I can understand how he feels. Before we dated I had a massive crush on you. If I was more immature I would of probably acted like that."

Natsuki replied, "You shouldn't compare yourself to Yuuichi. You're practically perfect."

Shizuru smiled and said, "You're the sweetest person ever." Natsuki and Shizuru smiled at each other. They knew that nobody could ruin the unbreakable bond that they'll have forever.
