The Sleeping Forest

I don't own Aeris, or the Sleeping forest.

Aeris' thoughts on the forest as an Ancient. She doesn't need the harp to go through it, so she sees it differently to everyone else..

Dappled sunlight across olive leaves

Sparkles on the dew-laden ground

Shimmering on the water's edge

As the stream curves round and round

And gushes past the old oak and birch

Where the birds whistle and sing

And the wild rose blooms in vibrancy

The tall fir tree stands, the king

Of the Sleeping Forest

ooooo

An undisturbed winding valley

Shelters its endless natural splendour

Among the jade branches I walk

Praying the forest will show me more

The ferns brush gently at my hair

Light pours over my face

Vibrant birds weave through the trees

With all the unseen grace

Of the Sleeping Forest

ooooo

A honeysuckle breeze blows

Lifting the red leaves in the air

Twirling among the blossoming flowers

So delicate, so fair

The echoing calls of the birds

The everlasting shifting of the leaves

The peaceful music in the stream

The soft sighing of the trees

Of the Sleeping Forest

ooooo

I hear a flute spill out the forest's calm

And a peace I have never known

Fills me, I see things which

No man can ever own

Voices whisper to me, now

A harp plucks at my heart

As a violin pledges to the peace,

With which I would never part.

The peace of the Sleeping Forest.

What do you think? Please leave a review, I need them, I'm so lonely. (sniff) ; )
