Post- Near Third Impact Wasteland

Japan

9:00 am

The wastes created by the events of the Near Third Impact were as vast as they were devastatingly overwhelming. The ground and water was a sea of red, like the planet's own blood had seeped into the soil as the ruins of numerous towns and buildings littered the region. Towering giants of crystallized LCL dotted the region like monuments to the tragedy of the Near Third Impact. There crosses that shot up through the clouds, as if they were a tribute to all those slain on that fateful day. But, the most notable were the towering giants that mirrored the form of the beast that brought the disaster upon the human race. The crystal EVAs varied in their forms and their design, some were simply a torso that formed within a crystal spire, others were the form of a partial body with their arms protruding out as if they wished to grasp something.

His hair was black as sin, as well as messy and running down to his neck. His eyes were emblazoned red, as if a raging fire burned inside them. His torso and arms were dressed in a thickened sheet of dull crystal, connected to a small, cage-like muzzle around his mouth. His legs and feet were dressed by the pants and boots from the suit that he wore in his cell. Jumping from the roof of the car, He sped up a nearby hillside to assess his surroundings like a hunter surveying his grounds. Upon reaching the vista and taking in the sight, His head began to throb in violent pain as he remembered the gruff, brutal voice of the man who made him what he is now:

"YOU DID THIS TO US, BOY! Don't you dare try to excuse yourself from the deaths and pain YOU caused!"

As his pain began to subside, he heard a familiar voice that said:

"He was right, you know?"

Acting on instinct, a strange, glowing blade formed around his arm and he swung it with tremendous speed, stopping at the throat of a boy who reminded him of who he once was...
