"She's in. Your head."
"Yep," Nino said with a nod from his space on the couch, head in Alya's lap.
Alya, for her part, didn't look nearly as shocked as she could have- just confused. "How does that even work? I mean, I knew you two shared a birthday, but- wait. Is that it? Is it the birthday thing?"
Nino shrugged. "I mean, kind of?" He sighed and fiddled with the bracelets on his wrist. "Mom- my S-Mom, not my Mom-Mom- said that in order to be a sensate with someone, you have to be born at the same moment. Apparently Chloé and I were. Along with six other people."
Alya let her head fall back to rest on the back of the couch. "This is the trippiest thing I've ever heard of. And Trixx has told me stories about their past holders."
"Hey!"
"Just let them talk."
Trixx grumbled under their breath but sunk back down on the little doll couch Alya had stolen from Ella and Etta anyway.
Nino had a small smile plastered on his face as he turned his attention from the kwamis back to Alya. "Zack loves them," he declared. "And, uh…" A light blush appeared on his cheeks. "Kaia wanted me to let you know you look really pretty. Beautiful, actually."
"Then do I give this kiss to her or to you?" Alya asked with a playful grin. She leaned down, placing a soft kiss on Nino's lips. Still just barely brushing her lips against his, she whispered, "I love you, regardless of whether you're one person or eight."
