Haymitch bathed in a giant bucket of some strong alcohol. He was drowning but he can breathe. He began to submerge under and eventually fall down until he went thud. He looked around and he was in his living room in the victors village. He walked to the front door and twisted the knob. As soon as the door flung open, pink birds came at him in rapid speed. When the flock was gone, he was on the roof of the Capitol Train. Katniss and Peeta were calmly having tea in their 'couple-on-fire' clothes.
"Hello, Haymitch. I love your dress," Katniss chimed in the most Capitol accent.
He looked down to his body to see what she was talking about and saw some horrible Capitol fashion of pink and purple clinging to his flesh. What's worse, he thought, was that it was the girl's clothing. He looked up to Katniss and Peeta again, only to find them gone, along with the previous scene. He was in President Snow's mansion, now. There on his plush red couch, he saw President Snow, himself on a one piece swimsuit covered in colored roses. He had white knee length boots. He started to pose in the most sluttiest ways that Haymitch was not entirely sure whether he should be amused or disturbed. He turned his head away, deciding it to be disturbed, and saw Cinna was taking shots. He would look up from his camera every now and then to smile and give a thumbs up to his model. Haymitch turned back and he was in the arena of the second quarter quell. He saw his whole family, his 'ex' girlfriend, Maysilee, and Peeta and Katniss' prep team, running for their lives. He rotated his head to see what dangers they were running from and it was a giant green something, inches from his face. He felt myself being lifted up by an unflawed yet unnatural hand. When the hand stopped, he saw Effie Trinket smile at him in a sort of maniacal way. All of the Capitol make-up did not help at all.
"Manners, Haymitch!" she told him with a smile still plastered on her face. She kissed him on the cheek and dropped him. He landed bottom first on something soft. It was the meadow of District 12. He got up to his feet and saw a bottle of one of the strongest spirits in the Capitol. He went to reach for it but it hopped away. As slowly as it hopped, Haymitch was a much slower runner. He felt his legs were melting as he tried to run for it.
"Come back!" was all he could yell. He yelled it over and over and over again.
"Haymitch, Haymitch!"
Someone shook his shoulder. He felt his eyes pry open but all he could see was a blur initially. He shook himself awake until he could see a little clearer. He was in the Capitol train. He had been drinking on the dining table until he fell asleep. Haymitch tried to get himself up from the chair. Then, he felt hands snaking his arms. He was startled at first but he remembered someone had shook him awake. He twisted his neck and saw a female with messy black hair and dark circles under her eyes.
"Who are you?" he grumbled.
"It's Effie,"
"I...don't believe you. You must be an Avox,"
His tone had this weird high and low pitch indicating drunkeness.
"You're really drunk are you? An avox wouldn't talk Haymitch."
He scoffed. "A talking Avox sounds more possible than a messy Effie."
"Well, I wouldn't look like this if you weren't screaming for your booze,"
"Not the most beautiful I've seen but it beats clown capitols everyday."
Effie didn't say anything. She was too tired to react. She just slung one of Haymitch's arms around her neck and helped him walk to his room. When she was at the door, she simply dropped Haymitch on his bedroom floor partly cause her muscles are aching, partly due to sleep deprivation and partly because she was angry at Haymitch. She was about to leave when Haymitch began to grumble.
"Aside from President Snow in drag, this has been the weirdest part of my dream yet, whether that was a talking Avox or messy Effie,"
Effie simply yawned and left him.
