~ 駅で出会うショコラ ~
~ The chocolate encountered at the station. ~
There was silence between them as they approached the ticket barrier, tired after a long Valentine's day of murder case at that train station. A silence that was broken by a loud growl that came from Conan's stomach.
His face flushed out of embarrassment, especially after he saw that mocking smirk on her face. "It can't be helped! I haven't eaten anything since breakfast!"
It was then that Ai shoved a small bag of hand-made chocolates at his chest, the sweets that she never really had the intention to give him. He was surprised a bit and looked at her with confusion. "I was planning to give it to the professor, but it would ruin his diet," she excused, then cross her arms as he took hold of the bag.
"Besides, it would be lame if the modern Holmes will die out of starvation," she continued, that mocking smirk as annoying as ever, even more so after that comment.
The girl saw how his eye twitched, probably in irritation, but just walk off through the barrier without looking back, still wearing that trademark expression of hers.
She never did notice how Conan was stunned on his spot, his face even more crimson than a ripe tomato, as he read the note he had found inside the bag of chocolates. The note Ai forgot to throw at the garbage can last night after making the sweets. In where, written in smooth, cursive alphabet letters, are the words...
I love you, Shin'ichi.

A/N: Well, I hope you realized that the chocolates are really for Conan. And she was just practising with the note. ;)
