Bella
Edward and I were lying down in our meadow watching the clouds go by. I heard him sigh so I turned and looked at him.
"Edward what's wrong?" I asked him as I sat up. He sat up with me and grinned.
"Nothing is wrong. Everything is perfect. I have you, and that makes everything perfect," He slowly brushed his lips against mine then stood up. "I couldn't ask for anything better."
"Neither could I; I have you," I replied in a whisper.
"It's getting late; we should go," Edward told me softly. I nodded and climbed onto his back.
"Hold on," He spoke to me and started to take off running when he clasped in the middle of the meadow making me fall on top of him.
I started shaking Edward violently trying to get him to wake up. I started crying as I shook him when I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I slowly turned around, my eyes red from crying.
"Bella we need to go," Alice told me softly but urgently.
"Alice, I can't leave him her," I replied.
"Yes you could. If you knew our secret you wouldn't shred a tear, you would just walk away."
"No, I wouldn't. And I know your secret, remember, I already know you are vampires."
"Well, the truth is--" Alice was cut off by Edward extending a hand over his throat, making a choking sound, then rolling his head sticking out his tongue like he was dead.
"Okay, as I was saying, I'll tell you the truth when we get to my car."
"I'm sorry," Edward whispered reaching for me.
"No, Alice, I'm staying with Edward."
'Oh no your not," and with that she picked me up and flung me over her shoulder as she started to run into the wood back to her car.
"Alice, Let me go," I screamed kicking and punching her.
"Ouch, stop Bella, your hurting me," she cried.
"Really, I thought vampires are indestructible?"
She set me down holding onto my wrists.
"Bella, I'm sorry, Edward just died. The truth is we're just some random orphans and foster kids with Carlisle and Esme. We never had immortal strength or any of that. The truth is, we are all on steroids and Edward died of an overdose." She explained.
I gasped and fell to my knees. I started balling my eyes out when Alice stared at me.
"Well, I'm glad we don't have to act anymore, Bye," She waved and walked away.
The Cullen's were never vampires; they were just random people on steroids. How could I be so stupid and believe in vampires? What am I, a ten year old?
That was the big secret all along. I can't believe he never told me.
Now I was really all alone in the world.
