Seeing Red
//I didn't mean for this to happen! How did it? Oh, sweet Seiryuu, my chest hurts. Tamahome, this is your fault! But what can I do? Oh...I will not cry!
I've always been stronger! I've always taken care of aniki. How can it have turned around like this? And when I need him most, the moment I want most in the world for him to put his arms around me and tell me everything is all right...he is in Sairou, with that family that adopted him.
At least he's happy, even if he doesn't know of my existence. Ah, aniki, you will cry for me, won't you? You'll feel this pain of mine.
Red. That's all I can see, creeping in from the corners of my eyes and taking out my vision. Red, like this life's blood pouring out of my body at this instant.
Yui-sama, will you care? Will it upset you to know that your most dedicated seishi, the only one who loved you, cared about you, is fading into darkness and red?
Or will it be like all the other times I tried to tell you of my love, and you pushed me away? Ah, Yui-sama, I still have your ribbon. It's inside my jacket, on top of my heart. My broken, torn, saddened, and weary heart.
How can it be that the only two people in the universe I love have no love of me? Well, I take it back. Aniki loved me until I made him forget of my existence. When he didn't know I existed, he couldn't really love me. But I'm sure, deep down, he still cares for the brother he can't remember. Yui-sama, though, she hated me to the last moment.
Yui-sama, open your heart. Even though it may be too late, realize my devotion. Love me... Yui-sama. Aniki//
The Seiryuu sei lay dying. Suddenly, with a small spray of blood from his mouth, he gasped, "Yui-Yui-sama...a-ani...ki..." Then he fell to the ground. The Seiryuu no Miko's ribbon fell from his jacket front, just out of his reach. He made a weak grasp and missed, then lay still. Slowly his body evaporated. The Suzaku no Miko looked pityingly to where he had been.
"Oh, Suboshi...I wonder what you were thinking?"
