Halloween Fun

"I love trick-or-treating," Dawn grinned as goblins and princesses scampered past. Her hand squeezed Spike's fondly. "It's so much fun. And the candy? Yummy."
"The best part is the costumes, love."
"Why, because it once made Buffy a defenseless snob?"
"Not everything is about her!" he shouted. "Anyway, that was back when I was evil. Well, more evil."
"You're so not evil, Spike."
"Yes I am!" He released her hand and headed towards some costumed kids. Suddenly he vamped out and growled, causing them to run off screaming.
"That was mean!" Dawn proclaimed.
"Told you I was evil," he snickered.
