Zayne sat on the pier, gazing out onto the lake, thinking about his Arizona who hadn't contacted him or even left her house, singing softly. "I wanted you to know, I love the way you laugh. I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away.

"I keep your photograph, and I know it serves me well. I wanna hold you high and steal your pain.

"Because I'm broken, when I'm lonesome, and I don't feel right, when you're gone away.

"You've gone away… you don't feel me here, anymore…"

Phoenix was sitting on her bed by the window in her bedroom, listening to her father shuffling around downstairs, and thinking about Zayne. She pulled her knees up to her chin, pulling up the sleeves of her jacket above her hands, the hood over her head, watching the gray skies, singing softly. "The worst is over now, and we can breathe again. I wanna hold you high and steal my pain away.

"There's so much left to learn, and no one left to fight. I wanna hold you high and steal your pain."

Unknowingly, the started singing in sync, the same words, and at the same time. "'Cause I'm broken when I'm open, and I don't feel like I am strong enough. 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome, and I don't feel right when you're gone away."

Tears formed and rolled down Phoenix's face as she pushed her sleeve covered hands to her face.

Zayne wiped his eyes, unable to stop the falling tears.

"'Cause I'm broken when I'm open, and I don't feel like I'm strong enough. 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome, and I don't feel right when you're gone away…

"'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome, and I don't feel right when you're gone."

"You're gone away," Zayne murmured. "You don't feel me here, anymore…"
