~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Prologue~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A silver cream she-cat padded out of the woods, followed by a orange tabby tom and a black she-cat. She signaled her tail for them to split up, and was alone for the first time in her life.
"You wanted to see me?" she asked to the approaching cat, only seeing her gleaming green eyes.
"Yes," she rasped, "I have something to tell you, Lightstreak."
The she-cat leaned foward, anticipating the message, "What is it!"
"Your ancestors looked upon you and chose you, YOU are the most honest and honorable of all cats in your clan, but that will change if you don't beware of the upcoming danger, the greatest that Skyclan will ever face!"
Lightstreak didn't believe what the old cat was saying,"Even greater than the rat attack? And how can I be more honorable than Leafstar? It just doesn't make sense!"
"It will... remember that your spirit is greater than any other cat's, and that's what keeps you alive. Not even one cat can break it, only yourself. Also, never give up, even when-" the old she-cat started fading. The night turned to day as the sun started rising.
"No! Wait! Come back!" Lightstreak raced for the fading old she-cat, "But what does it mean? Dont give up? Even when what?" Lightstreak felt like her belly was filled with stones, as she dragged herself back to camp. The orange tabby and black she-cat raced by her side, reporting the news about the borders. But Lightstreak was too tired to hear, and fainted halfway on the walk back to camp. That night she had dreams about enemy cats who attacked Skyclan, so many, she thought. Before she reacted, a cat came up to her, and cried "help!" before he was tugged back in the line. Lightstreak didn't recognize any of these cats, but the cat who came up to her looked like Mintfur, but a tom, and more scrawny. As she thought, several cats raced towards her, with claws unsheathed about to launch at her, as she heard other cats calling to her.
"Lightpaw, Lightpaw!"
She woke up, "So m-many..." she stuttered, "Must p-p-prepare!"
