A Taang Christmas

Note: I don't own any of the characters in the story, they all (c)'d to Nick, or something.
Also, not a Taang fan, but this isn't for me, it's for my online GF, lol. Merry Christmas YWAK!

Toph hated snow, and Christmas. It was cold, so she had to wear boots, making her 100 blind. And there were lights, and all sorts of beautiful decorations, but she couldn't see any of them.
All she could do was sit back in her home, and listen, all while trying to cover up how much her own blindness hurt her.

"Damn." she muttered, her sight-less eyes tilted towards the window, her hand feeling the cold air press against the glass. At had been almost 3 years since the war had ended, and right now, she regretted coming back home.
Toph sighed as she heard the maid wish her a "Merry Christmas", before quietly leaving her room.

Suddenly, the window flew up, sending cold air and snow blowing through the room.
Toph slammed the window shut, cursing a mile a minute, then she heard the footsteps, faint, but there.
The blind earthbender spun around, ready to shove a rock into the footstep's owner's chest, before a voice accompanied the feet.

"Whoa, easy Blind Bandit, I'm not here to fight you." Aang said, quickly throwing up his hands in defense.
Toph slowly walked towards the Avatar, then held his hand, feeling it warm hers. "So, what brings you here, twinkletoes?" she asked, a small smile on her face.

Aang gently took Toph's other hand, then pulled her close to him. "It's Christmas, and I don't want you to be alone." he said meekly.
Toph's eyes narrowed, then she fell into Aang's gental embrace, trying to fight back tears. "Dammit Aang, you made me cry." she muttered, before feeling Aang lift her jaw.

The Avatar stared deeply into her sight-less eyes, before firmly, but gently, pressing his lips to hers. Toph gasped at first, before falling into the kiss, pressing back harder, knocking both teens to the floor.

After what felt like forever, Toph and Aang broke apart, gasping for air. "So, was that my present?" Toph asked with a smirk. Aang laughed slightly, a grin to match hers. "Actually, I got you a necklace, but that works too." he said with a chuckle.

Toph sat up and playfully punched him in the arm, before helping him to his feet.
"So, where's everyone else?" she asked, fondly hoping to hear Katara's footsteps, or Sokka's, heck, even Zuko's.

Aang smiled. "That's the other reason I came, so you can spend Christmas with your family"
He said, opening the window. Toph quickly threw on the parka Katara had given her last year, and climbed on to Appa's saddle, her fingers dug firmly in the side. "You do know I still hate flying?" she asked.

Aang chuckled, then gave a quick "Yip, yip", and the two were off, flying high above the clouds and the cold, Toph still cursing about how much she hated flying, but inward, feeling right at home.

The End.
