"Let me tell you how this all began."

"No, no," Tony said, interrupting her, "Let me explain. I should be the one to explain."

Kim sighed, "Fine, go ahead." She stepped back from the mirror and let him step up.

"Hi, uh, Jack, see the thing is, I've, Kim and I we've been dating now for a while and I'm sorry…" he spoke faster as he went actually holding his arms out towards the mirror, "That I didn't tell you, that I wasn't honest, I should have been, but I….I love your daughter and we're going to move in together….and have a baby."

"And then he's going to bash you over the head and kick your ass. Tony," Kim sighed, shoving him away, "You need to let me do it, he won't hit me."

"Well, I'm his best friend Kim and I'm sleeping with his daughter, not to mention the fact that I got you pregnant and we're still not married."

"Again with the marriage."

"People having babies together should be married. I don't understand why you are so stubborn about this. We love each other; we're moving in together, we should make it legal and binding and forever."

"It just doesn't matter to me; it's just a piece of paper."

"No," he said fervently, grabbing her arms and pulling her against him, "It's a promise, a vow, one we make to each other in front of god and the world and every person we know. I want to make that promise to you; I want you to make it back, its important to me." He stepped back, "Unless you don't want to be with me for the rest of our lives."

"You know I do," she said, stepping closer, "Listen, this marriage thing, its just seems like a jinx to me, can we just….can we just wait awhile to talk about it, I'm dealing with enough changes now."

He nodded, dragging her close and kissing her quickly, "I won't stop asking until you say yes."

She smiled, "You always were a determined man. You'll be very hard to say no for long."

"Good," he said, pulling her close to him, then he stopped, "Of course marriage won't be an issue if your father kills me."

She smiles, "Let me talk to him first, tell him about his first grandchild, then you can hit him with the fact that you're the daddy, maybe he'll be too stunned to kill."

Tony grimaced, "I hope so, sunshine, I really hope so."
