Dreams of Beauty - *One-Shot*

He was a musician, a genius of his own making. Indeed, he was a prodigy undiscovered; a shining star in the heavens that had yet to be named. The ink that dripped from his quill was pure gold - liquid music that seared the page and lingered hauntingly in the mind. His inventiveness, creativeness, ingeniousness came unhindered, and there was no pause to the flowing notes that danced from his brilliant, beautiful mind to the yellowed paper. He wrote a story of such grace and unparalleled beauty it softened hearts of stone. It gave life to crippled limbs, and with its golden arias and sorrowful laments of longing and human desire, brought tears to the eyes of murderers and thieves.

In time she would come to accept his failings, and see past the hideousness of his face. In time she would be happy to live with him in the shadows of the opera house, sing only for him and long only to hear his voice.

He was an Angel of Music, a monster, and a hopeful lover. Never mind the scars that made him into the beast everyone else saw, he knew that she would be able to see the true man that he was and appreciate the beauty that he dreamt of. In time, all in good time, she would come to love him as he did her.
