1. Prologue

Note to Readers: This starts in Year 1522 and Mary is the eldest Boleyn girl. Catherine of Aragon's marriage with Henry is beginning to fall apart and Mary's father is bringing her home from France in the hope that she will be able to give the King some solace.

Prologue

"Anne! Anne!"Mary shrieked joyfully as she flew through Queen Claude's rooms searching for her sister.

"Mary, I'm here. There's no need to shout." said Anne sarcastically.

Upon reaching her sister Mary pulled her by the arm and dragged her to the nearest window. "Father has just told me I will be going home with him and I am to flirt with the King. The King of England himself, Anne. The King of England himself!"

Anne closed her eyes and told herself Oh God! Here we go again! before pulling herself together and forcing a smile for her sister. "Well done Mary! That's great news. I'm happy for you. Send my love to George when you see him."
