A/N: This is intended to be before Sasuke joins Orochimaru. Sorry about all the lines; it was the only the way for me to seperate the stanzas. TT

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any of Masashi Kishimoto's characters.

Fury or Fire, Darkness or Light?

With fury or fire will I fight?

Yeah, it's- "The path now lies before you"-

Will I fight for darkness or for light?

I have lived in an eternal night

There's danger in falsehood, yes that's true

With fury or fire will I fight?

Since that fateful night I sought for might

"You are weak and foolish"- it's untrue!

Will I fight for darkness or for light?

Please give unto me my choice tonight

Please show me the path that I should go to

With fury or fire will I fight?

Will I fight for darkness or for light?

A/N: Again, this is intended to be before Sasuke joins Orochimaru. He's having second thoughts about leaving it all behind, and wonders which is the best path. The darkness and light is rather obvious, the side of good or evil, but the fury or fire is meant to show the path of whatever it takes to get power for vengence, or the fire of his own passion to guide him on. Hence here fury would be connected to darkness, fire to light. Understand better? Yes, no?

For the chance that anyone's confused, this is in a French Villanelle format. To those unfamiliar with this style, it's written ABA, with the first and last lines of the first stanza repeating in the following stanzas as the last line and then both repeated at the end for the last two lines of the final stanza with a ABAA. Make sense, or have I once again succeeded in confusing people? My sibling tells me I'm very good at that, though it's unintentional... cry

Anyway, please R&R!! I'd like to know what y'all think of this:)

Thanks
