A little jealousy in a relationship is healthy. It's nice to know that someone is afraid to lose you.
"Ah Niou-kun!"
Niou turned to look back at one of his classmates who called him. It was that girl—Yumi, was it?—who had asked for some help on their most recent Math lesson.
"Hm?"
"T-Thank you for helping me out! It really means a lot. Please accept my gift!"
The girl, whatever her name was, held out a present that was neatly wrapped in plain-looking wrapper. Niou raised an eyebrow but he accepted it anyway. He still had manners, as unlikely as that may seem. The girl flushed, her cheeks turning into a shade of deep red.
"Niou-kun!"
Niou turned towards whoever just spoke and it turns out to be Yagyuu.
"We're going now. Aren't we Niou-kun?" Yagyuu's tone seemed to send imaginary daggers right at poor Yumi.
"Puri."
"Excuse us, Yumi-san."
Yumi was left alone in the corridors of Rikkaidai as Yagyuu practically stormed off with Niou in tow.
"Jealous, Yagyuu?"
Niou was taunting him. That was the only thing Yagyuu was sure of right now, besides the fact that they were walking by the sea casually. However, as a gentleman, Yagyuu must not give in to Niou's taunting.
"What do you think, Niou-kun?"
"Well, you never made anything official. I just thought I'd let you know that."
"So you want to be paraded around like a girl, then? Hm?"
"It's not that—"
"You want to be introduced to my parents as my boyfriend? You want to go out with me on dates during the weekend? You know, Niou-kun, I never know what you really want because you never make it clear with me. I mean, is it so wrong to want for certainty in your life sometimes?"
"You're really jealous then. Puri, I never thought it would be this easy to make you jealous. I just helped her out with some Math stuff. It's nothing to get so worked up about!"
"Throw that gift away then. I'm daring you."
"Oh?"
Niou took a step closer and Yagyuu could feel his heart skip a beat. He leaned in a bit closer, as if to whisper something into Yagyuu's ear.
"…Puri."
"Throw it away."
"That would be wasteful, Yagyuu. And I thought you had manners."
"I'll make it up to you," Niou said as he planted a kiss on Yagyuu's neck. "I'm just trying to make good use of the pencil that Yumi gave me." Niou moved on to plant another kiss on Yagyuu's cheek, on a spot that was dangerously close to Yagyuu's lips.
"Not now, Niou-kun. And if you really need a pencil, here."
Niou pulled back to see Yagyuu holding out his own pencil.
"It's kind of used but it looks similar to whatever that Yumi girl—I mean, Yumi-san—gave you so if she'd ask just tell her that it's the one she gave you."
"Being sneaky, are we Yagyuu?"
"Oh shut it. You're damaging my reputation."
And so, Niou tossed Yumi's gift and not a fuck was given.
