A/N: I should start by admitting I'm really not sure where this will lead. In all honesty, I just wanted to get this fic out there to call dibs on the title, because this whole fic originated from me wanting to use this title. (Yep. I'm that much of a nerd.) But don't worry, more will come, and I'll do my best to make it entertaining. ;)
Story told through Kianna Hawke's point of view. Some background info: Warrior (so Carver's dead, Bethany's not), and takes place - or at least begins - in act I (one year after Hawke's arrival in Kirkwall, after the debt to Red Steel has been paid.)
Should probably also mention I'll be taking a few liberties with the story. This will not follow the game to the letter.
One year. Hard to believe Bethany, Mom, and I had already been in Kirkwall that long. Harder still to believe that it had been over a year since we lost Carver. His death still plagued everyone in the family. Similarly, I assume, Aveline was still mourning over the loss of her husband. Poor girl had it hard enough trying to justify our actions while under the employ of the Red Steel mercenary group. Her concious was always strong, even by my standars. And I'm "almost as bad as Bethany, the goody goody." Carver's words, not mine.
So it was Aveline I was most glad to hear agree to a girls night out. Just her, Bethany, and myself. Nothing fancy. I figured we go to The Hanged Man. Aveline and Bethany would stare at the men, I'd stare at the women, we'd all get drunk off our asses, and then stumble the few blocks back to my uncles house. Stress relief, bonding, whatever you want to call it. Good for what ails you.
If only I had known...
