Reid was woken up 1 AM by music blaring in a nearby apartment. He dragged a pillow over his head in an attempt to muffle the noise. Eventually he rose to his feet, stepping into a pair of fuzzy slippers and shuffled groggily towards his door. The source of the noise was the apartment across from his. He walked towards it grumbling to himself about the inconvenience.

He quickly noticed the door was slightly ajar, Reid had observed that the combination of loud music and ajar doors rarely led to good things in his past. He pushed the door open cautiously relieved to find no mangled limbs or menacing notes. Instead he found a very much alive woman. She danced to the music, swaying to the rhythm.

He cleared his throat, feeling odd standing in the doorway watching this girl. She didn't notice him and continued dancing.

"Excuse me?" Reid said meekly.

"Please? Miss?" He tried again, this time a little louder.

"HEY!" He shouted finally. The woman jumped spinning to face him, her round brown eyes widened in surprise from under her glasses ßwhen she saw him.

"Oh, did I wake you up? I am so sorry. I just moved in and I guess the walls are a little thinner here than at my last place." She said blushing and taking a few steps towards him.

"I suppose," he said briskly, not moving from the door.

"Hi, I'm Anna," she said smiling and extending her hand for him to shake.

"Spencer," he replied shaking the hand she had extneded. He looked around the room. It was a combination of a living room with a kitchen with a large overstuffed couch surrounded by stacks of books. The walls were covered in shelves filled with all kinds of nick knacks. He stepped closer to one to inspect it. There were everything from a teakettle to dried flowers and a few shelves filled with cameras.

She coughed gently to get his attention "I am so sorry for waking you up, would you like a cup of tea or some eggs? A muffin?" She asked looking fairly apologetic.

"A muffin?"

"Sorry, I'm embarrassed and when I'm embarrassed I cook or actually bake. I bake a lot better than I can cook, I mean I can cook but I bake a lot better mostly cupcakes and muffins." Anna said stuttering slightly. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling, I do that a lot too, rambling. Could you please say something?" She finished staring at him gnawing on her bottom lip.

"Tea would be nice," Reid said smiling politely.

She put a mug in the microwave and slouched onto the couch. She motioned for him to join her. He sat stiffly on the edge tapping his thumbs together rhythmically.

Yes finally. Kind of. I revised this chapter. I wrote it kind of in a rush the first time and I wanted to fix it up a bit.
