AN: So, this is my first story (on this account). The title is inspired by the song The Beach by All Time Low. Enjoy and maybe review!
The Beach by All Time Low
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight and I'm not Stephenie Meyer. Bummer, huh?
Bella
POV
Alice had dragged me from the small town of Forks to Los Angeles to spend the summer. She had dragged Rosalie with us. Our parents were trusting, so there was no adult supervision. We were nearly eighteen, after all.
We drove in Alice's convertible with the top down in California. She blasted The Beach by All Time Low. Alice had been playing this song constantly since we had gotten out of school a week earlier. We laughed as she turned it up. She started singing the lyrics loudly, and Rose joined her. I rolled my eyes but joined them.
Some guys in a truck rolled down there window and cheered at us. Alice turned down the music and stuck her tongue out at them. They were just Emmett and Jasper, Rosalie and Alice's boyfriends.
"You know what?" Rose asked, leaning forward between the two front seats.
"What?" Alice asked, adjusting her over-sized sunglasses.
"We are going to find Bella a guy at the beach," she said, a note of finality in her voice. I groaned. This was going to be a long summer.
"Cheer up!" Alice exclaimed. "It'll improve your love life!"
"Improve it? Alice, it will create it. She doesn't have one," Rose corrected while I glared.
"I have a love life!" I said defensively.
"Bella, honey, telling a boy you think he's cute in the second grade does not count," she explained. Alice roared with laughter.
We stopped at a McDonald's not much later, hungry and bored out of our minds. The boys were right behind us, parking in the space next to us.
"After you, madam," Jasper said, opening the door for Alice. She giggled and went in after she curtsied. He held the door for the rest of us, and we all smiled and said thank you.
After we ordered we went and sat down. Rosalie sat across from Emmett and Alice sat across from Jasper. I sat on the outside, feeling like a complete fifth wheel.
When our food was ready I jumped up to get it. "Thank you," I said as politely as I could to the boy working behind the cashier. He nodded absentmindedly while getting someone else's order.
I set the tray on the table before yanking my hand away. The boys dug in instantly, grabbing their meals. Once they were done we got our food and ate quickly, talking and laughing.
"So we're staying by the beach?" I asked Alice curiously. She nodded.
"Yup. We're gonna be spending most of our time there. I've always loved beaches," she said.
"I just like the sun. If I stay out in it too long I burn," I said sadly.
"Well I got this sunscreen that's supposed to be pretty good. It's 50 SPF for God's sake," Alice said, digging it out of her purse.
"This should work. Thanks, Alice," I said, smiling.
Edward POV
"Edward, I wanna go to the beach!" my girlfriend, Tanya, whined. I resisted rolling my eyes, she was starting to get on my nerves.
"We will, but not today. It's too late to go anyway. We'll go tomorrow and we can stay all day," I said, hoping to appease her.
"Okay, Eddie," she said, happy as a clam. I grit my teeth at the name.
"Please don't call me Eddie," I said as nicely as I could.
"Okay Edward," she emphasized with a roll of her eyes.
Yeah, this was definitely going to be a long summer.
AN: Yeah, it's short but it's a first chapter. Review and I'll post more!
