As I stared into his glowing golden eyes I could only think of one thing. I needed a nice cold glass of water. What? What was I saying? Or thinking if you are going to get picky. Didn't I mean to say/think that I loved him and always will? Mentally I agreed with myself. But that glass of water really did sound appetizing.
"Edward, could you please get an ice cold glass of water? I'm parched," I asked him in a small voice looking up at him through my lashes.
"Parched?" he chuckled, "You sound like you are from a different era. Maybe you should lay off reading those classics for a while."
"Well, I wonder where I get that from?" I retorted. "Most likely not from my books," I gave him a dark look. "I don't know maybe that the fact that my fiancée is a hundred year old vampire and his vocabulary has decided to rub off on me. But either way I still need that drink," I smiled sweetly.
He laughed once then turned serious, his golden eyes full of love, "Anything for you my Bella."
Suddenly he was gone leaving me in a daze. Damn, why do those golden eyes and his intoxicating smell still dazzle me after being with him for nearly two years? Then again I wouldn't want it any other way. Just as suddenly he was back with a cold glass of water in hand and that crooked smile I loved plastered on his face, obviously to my reaction. He handed it to me, and as I quickly started drinking it he grabbed my free hand and pulled me over to his couch and sat down, pulling me with him. I quickly snuggled up to his side and he wrapped his arm tightly around me. I sighed in pleasure and rested my head on his shoulder. Yep I wouldn't want it any other way.
