A/N: I own nothing, sadly.

From a prompt at the P/R drabble meme:

Stefan: "You're staring."

Elena: "I'm gazing."

Stefan: "It's creepy."

Elena: "It's romantic."

Her gaze followed him as he entered the room, arms crossed defiantly across his chest, making it clear that he wasn't excited to be in this room or with her. This wasn't the first time he'd caught her attention as soon as he was in her peripheral view. He'd been unknowingly demanding her attention since their first day of Hebrew school. Even back then, without his mohawk, he caught her eye and she couldn't help but look at him every chance she got since then.

She saw him plop himself into a chair in the back of the room and slowly swiveled in her chair to look at him. His eyes were glued to the door, as if he were waiting for someone to come in, perhaps Finn. Yes, she was in love with Finn, but something about Noah had always intrigued her and that wasn't going away anytime soon.

He spared her a fleeting glance before bringing his gaze back to the door with a slight grimace. "You're staring," he stated clearly, his voice low.

Her lips pursed as her eyes stayed trained on him. "I'm gazing," she shot back quickly, her voice harsher than she's planned.

His eyes rolled dramatically as he looked down at her, raising an eyebrow. "It's creepy."

A soft smile crept onto her face. "It's romantic." Her eyes lit up slightly as the words left her mouth.

He scoffed, shifting in his chair as his gaze slid back to the door as it opened and a golden-haired girl stepped inside. "Get real, Berry."

As he looked back at her with a lingering glance before forcing his gaze back to the blonde, she could tell it was going to be an interesting year in glee club.
