A/N: This is just a little one-shot. Loliver! YAY!

We'll Never be Together

The wind is blowing in my hair. I could see little schools of fish swimming in the stream of fresh water. I'm angry, and sad. I would be with Miley right now, but she is at a Hannah Montana CD signing and I said no to going with her. Do you want to know why I am so upset? Do you really want to know?

Well, I was leaving school late because I had to retake a science test. That's my worst subject. Anyways, I was walking down the empty halls of the school and I headed towards the double doors. Right when I turned the corner, I saw Oliver kissing a girl from my math class. I was crushed. I felt as though a spear hit me, right in the center of my heart.

My eyes started to water, and all of a sudden I felt tears race down my cheeks.

Oliver turned his head and looked at me in a 'worried' face. I ran out of the building so he wouldn't see me crying, but he obviously did because he was chasing after me.

He grabbed onto my arm and stopped me dead in my tracks.

"Lilly, you don't understand!"

"Of course I do! You were kissing her, I'm happy for you, I really am. I'm just expressing it in a… different way!" I managed to let out a fake smile.

"Lilly, I know you better then that! If you're so happy then why are you crying?" Oliver said.

"Just…just… stop talking to me, OKAY?! I don't want to talk to you! I don't want to have anything to do with you! Just stay away from me! GOODBYE OLIVER OKEN!" I started to run as fast as I could. Then, I ended up where I am right now. The one place I love to be when I'm thinking about something or mad about something.

Why me? Why did it have to be me to see this? I so badly wish that I was that girl that he was kissing. Of course, that would only happen in a fairytale.

I turned around and saw Oliver standing behind me. Good thing I wasn't thinking out loud. As I was turning back to face the stream again, Oliver bent down and kissed me. I felt nothing. It didn't mean anything to me because I knew that he was just doing that to make me happy. It didn't work at all.

"Lilly…" Oliver said after we parted for the kiss.

"Oliver, stop! Okay? You just did that to make me happy! Sorry buddy, but that doesn't work for me; it would if you actually meant it, but NO! You don't mean it! You don't mean anything! In fact, you don't mean anything to me!" Ouch, that must have hurt. I saw his face fall.

"Lilly, you have no idea what you're saying." He said in a very sad tone.

"Of course I do! You like that other girl… what's her name? Kristy, right? Yeah, you like Kristy! Why would you even think that kissing me would make me feel better when I saw you with another girl!"

"FINE! If that's the way you want to be, FINE! I'll leave you alone! As a matter of fact, I am going to go back to the school and hang out with Kristy more!"

"FINE!"

"FINE!"

"FINE!"

"FINE!"

Then, he left. He just left me there. He wasn't even going the right way to school; he was going the way to his house.

I looked at his face when he turned the corner and I saw just a single tear drop running down his face.

What have I done? I blew it between us. I knew this day would come. We'll never be together, ever.

Well, that's how life is; you don't always get happy endings.

A/N: It was kind of short, but… yeah… I just did this for fun. I don't mind if you thinks it's bad, because I think it's kind of, weird too! Lilly was right, in real life, you don't always get happy endings!
