100 Theme Challenge/
No.1- Introduction/
O
Yo. This is my first fic, ever, so try to hold back on the flames.
O
There was once a day where Marth ruled justly over his land, where his castle held power in the politics of the realm.
If you asked him, he'd tell you that he was just as satisfied with his existence as before.
But with the neighboring kingdoms, young and prosperous, Atlea was sorely outmatched.
Hyrule came from one side, with mysterious magical weapons and well-trained warriors.
Corneria came from another, with terror unseen; flying metal dragons that shot arrows of light.
These nations' leaders were meeting at the borders of their lands, to meet a compromise in the hope that their people would not lose sleep over the groan of encroaching war.
Marth was expected to arrive without so much as a butter knife for a weapon.
Naïve as he was, the Hero King obliged to the terms.
Everyone watched as he treaded into the distance, mourning, as if he was already gone...
O
Zelda huffed and crossed her arms, leaning up against a nearby boulder.
"Please Lady Zelda, remain calm." Said the tall Sheikah woman. "I know conditions like this aren't exactly you're preferred, but do it, for the kingdom's sake."
Impa sat, legs crossed on the grass, clearly in a meditative state.
The princess' scowl didn't leave, but she did tolerate the 'conditions,' for her people.
The two had been waiting for at least an hour.
Zelda had assumed being early was a way to be perceived as wise.
Timely and smart.
Apparently not.
The entire world was on the brink of war. She was called by the leader of the recently neighboring country, Atlea.
You'd think that it would carry some urgency.
"Well met," a voice sounded suddenly, startling the princess.
It was soft and low, the voice of a strong, young king.
The man had beautiful blue hair, and soft features.
He was a paragon of nobility.
Strong, smart, and handsome.
"Well met," responded the princess. She had flustered slightly, but he didn't seem to notice.
"I am Marth - king of Atlea." He held out a hand, and Zelda eagerly shook it. "I am here about the compromise."
Zelda composed herself quickly, and replied with a small-
"I am Princess Zelda, leader of Hyrule."
O
Oddly, Impa did little to intervene with the two nobles.
They seemed to talk about the compromise, and it ended quickly. They came to an agreement easily.
Zelda was a master negotiator, so it was to be expected.
But then they were talking about more personal things.
Problems, friends, experiences and the like.
Zelda's comprises didn't go like this, usually.
But instead of telling Zelda to hold off, she didn't.
She sat off to the side, meditating for the entirety of the compromise.
She could kill him a thousand different ways without her weapons anyway.
O
And so that's Introduction.
Rather simple, and lame.
The next themes are much better anyway.
