I was listening to Avril Lavigne's song Skater Boi and this idea came to my mind. If Alanna chose Jon instead of George and then a year later regretted, I think this is how she would feel. It sounds better if you listen to the song with it. Anyway it was just a quick 10 minute idea.

He was a boy

She was a girl

Can I make it any more obvious

He was a thief

She was a page

What more can I say

He wanted her

She'd never tell

But secretly she wanted him as well

All of her friends

Stuck of their nose

They had a problem with his thieving life

He was a thieving boy

She said see you later boy

He wasn't good enough for her

She had a lot of skill

But she didn't even know

The legend he'd help her become

Five years now

She's at the castle

Feeding the princess

She's all alone

A letter she gets

Seems

Theiving boys now the rogue king

Her friends come in

They already know

And their all planning to see him

She tags along

And stands in the crowd

Looks up at the man that she turned down

He was a thieving boy

She said see you later boy

He wasn't good enough for her

Now he's the rogue king

Sitting on his own throne

Does your pretty face see what he's worth

He was a thieving boy

She said see you later boy

He wasn't good enough for her

Now he's the rogue king

Sitting on his own throne

Does your pretty face see what he's worth

Sorry girl but you missed out

Well tough luck that boys mine now

We are more than just good friends

This is how the story ends

To bad that you couldn't see

See the man that boy could be

There is more than meets the eye

I see the soul that is inside

He's just a boy

And I'm just a girl

Can I make it any more obvious

We are in love

Haven't you heard

How we steal each others world

I'm with the thieving boy

I said see you later boy

I'll be upstairs after the fight

I'll be at the Dancing Dove

Counting the gold we stole

From a rich noble

I've with the thieving boy

I said see you later boy

I'll be upstairs after the fight

I'll be at the Dancing Dove

Counting the gold we stole

From a rich noble
