Only Annabeth fell into Tartarus, alone. It's been a year since then and Percy has been going out of his mind in order to find her. What if he finds Annabeth, but not how he expects? She was brainwashed. Read if you like. Follow. Favorite. Review.

Chapter 1: I'm Sorry

"Percy, just let go," I hear her say.

"Never! How can you even say that?" I yell back at her.

Her body is just hanging above the pits of Tartarus while my hand is wrapped around her left arm, and I don't plan on letting go.

"Please Percy. You can stay there for ever. The only solution is for you to just let me go," she chokes out.

"Annabeth, I love you. I can lose you. I just got you back."

"Percy..." Annabeth whispers to me.

Then I see a large chunk of cement fall and hit my right shoulder, the one that's holding up Annabeth. Within the small second which pain shoots into my are is when all hell breaks lose. I quickly look off the cliff to find her, my Wise Girl, falling.

It all happens so slowly. She's reaching up into the air, and is try to grab a hold of something, but there's nothing there.

"ANNABETH!" I scream, but its too late. Her figure starts to disappear into the shadows. "I'm sorry," I whisper. Then everything goes black.
