Too Much Blood has Been Spilled This Night

The sounds of battle come to our walls,
The huge crowd that may cause our fall,
Appear before our eyes as we draw our bows,
Who will win no one knows,
We enter the brawl, we enter the fight,
This fight for life has begun tonight,
Too much blood has been spilled this night.

Sounds of doom have come our way,
Foe and allies rest in peace as they lay,
The ground runs red with every slash,
Men fight desperately with every clash,
A bloody stench fills the air,
A dead orc and an elf lies on the stairs,
Too much blood has been spilled this night.

The glittering moon shines out of nowhere,
Lighting our way out of the shadowy, gloomy nightmare,
An elven archer shoots his bow,
Casting an enemy behind into another foe,
The end is near,
We look around and shed a tear
Too much blood has been spilled this night,

So many have fought,
So many have died,
Men, Elves, and Creatures in this fight,
Shall remember this fight every night.
This battle for life may have ended,
With so many lying around, dead and wounded,

But the war for Middle Earth begins this very night,
Too much blood has been spilled this night.
