It was a snowy February day. Diamond and Platinum were planning a birthday party for Pearl. "We need a huge cake so I- I mean Pearl can eat it!" Diamond said.

"Well, go get started on making it then!" Platinum laughed.

"Good! Come on Lax!" Diamond said as he and Lax walked into the kitchen.

"And I will wrap his present." Platinum said. She grabbed a joke book she and Diamond wrote. She grabbed the wrapping paper.

"Now Lax, hand me the sugar." Diamond said. "Then the flour and then the berries."

Lax handed Diamond the ingredients. "Now a cup of flour and two cups of sugar and the entire bowl of berries. Some miltank butter and moo moo milk. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour and you have a cake!" Diamond said as he made the cake.

"Pearl's going to love this!" Platinum said after she finished wrapping Pearl's present. "Diamond! Are you done with that cake?" She yelled.

"Just putting on the finishing touches on. And, done!" Diamond yelled.

"Go get Pearl!" Platinum yelled.

"Okay." Diamond said and walked out the door.

"Hey Dia! So, do you know what today is?" Pearl asked Diamond when he walked in.

"It's your birthday! Now, follow me." Diamond said.

"Okay!" Pearl said, following Diamond.

"Surprise!" Platinum yelled when Diamond and Pearl walked in.

"Platinum! You were in on this?" Pearl asked.

"Of course." Platinum replied.

"Who wants some cake?" Diamond yelled.

"Hopefully he didn't eat it already." Platinum whispered to Pearl.

"Yeah." Pearl replied.

"Happiny birthday to you. You look like a pansear and you are hotheaded like one too." Diamond sang as he brought the cake out.

"What did you just say?" Pearl asked.

"Happiny birthday to you." Diamond said.

"Never mind." Pearl said. "Anyway, let's eat this cake!"

"I love birthday parties! You get free cake!" Diamond said as he ate a slice of cake.

"I like celebrating with my friends." Platinum said.

"I like everything about birthday parties!" Pearl said.

"Well, Pearl, here's your present. Diamond wrote it and I proofread it." Platinum said handing Pearl a rectangular package.

Pearl opened it. "Thanks Dia and Platinum!" Pearl said.

"And this is from me." Platinum said, and kissed Pearl on the cheek.

"What about me?" Diamond whined.

"Well, is it your birthday?" Platinum asked.

"No." Diamond said.

"Don't worry Dia. Someone will come along soon." Pearl said.
