Prologue – The Beginning
In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the angels and the Earth. God created the angels and they were perfect. A certain angel named Lucifer or "light-bearer" was high and exalted next in line after God's son Jesus Christ. Lucifer was perfect until wickedness entered in him. God did not create this wickedness; Lucifer did with his abuse of the wisdom God gave him. Lucifer's sympathizers followed him in his unholy ways and secretly followed him rather than God.
Lucifer became jealous and envious of Jesus Christ and soon vowed never to bow to God or His son, Christ. This act of rebellion was something God could never forgive, nor would He ever. Thus it was that Lucifer "light bearer", the sharer of God's glory, the attendant of God's throne became Satan, the adversary. Satan was cast out of Heaven along with his followers, totaling one third of all of the angels. Those followers are known to the world today as fallen angels, whom rule the netherworlds of Hell.
The only known rival to the Fallen are the Archangel's, the highest echelon of Heaven's angels. The Fallen often wage war upon the Arc's for the dominating control of Purgatoria, a limbo land between Heaven and Hell. Until the year 2009, the Arc's have managed to obtain an equal amount of souls as have the Fallen in their battle of good versus evil.
When a human being's soul is created it is destined to walk a life of light or darkness, until one misfortunate or fortunate soul was created with free will. This soul was not given a path of light or darkness, but would be able to choose its own path between light or darkness. That soul belonged to a presently young adult, 20 year old Harlow Jones, whom is constantly followed around by her two very best friends: Gabriel de Luz, the Arc and Damien Asmodeus, the Fallen. These angels were sent to prevail over her soul thus to win the war between good versus evil and forever rule the city of Purgatoria.
From the beginning of it's time, Purgatoria was created for the sole purpose of housing the souls of human beings until their bodies died off and they went to their respective resting place: Heaven or Hell. The time had now come for Damien and Gabriel to reveal their true selves to Harlow.
The only question is: which path will she choose? Light or Darkness?
