Scarlet
Scarlet is the most promising actor of her time, at least she thinks, she has everything a person could ever want and more, but she has no idea of who she really is. She has played every character, every complex individual but she can never truly find who she really is.
She woke up in the middle of the night from a very bizarre dream. She decided to disregard it because it truly meant nothing, just a bunch of random images strewn together like a poorly made movie. She got up out of bed, and groggily wandered to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, muttered something unintelligible, and went back to bed…
When she awoke again, it was just after 8 o'clock, this time she went downstairs, turned on the television and listened to the news while she made breakfast. "Breaking News!" blared the news reporter, "Highly acclaimed movie actor, Katherine Drew died early this morning after a ski trip gone horribly wrong! More details at eleven." Scarlet was not really paying attention until she glanced at the clock; she was going to be late for rehearsal! She ran upstairs in a hurry, and threw on whatever clothes she could find, not caring what she looked like at the moment, and zipped out the door.
As she walked into the movie studio, people were rushing around trying to get equipment in order. Her assistant, Jenny, popped up out of nowhere and scolded her for being late. As the disciplining went on, she realized Jenny had led her to a door that read "Hair and Make-Up" As she walked through the doorway, a cloud of powder and a mist of hairspray temporarily blinded her. She did not realize what she was doing until she was standing in front of her handsome co-star James, in full costume, script in hand. For some reason she kept messing up on her lines, which was odd because she always knew her lines. She figured she was just tired because of the strange dream that woke her up. The director yelled "Cut!" and she went off set to get some water. After her drink of water she was determined to get her lines right. As she walked back to the set, a wave of dizziness came over her and the room began to spin. A swirl of color and she felt herself begin to sway, and then nothing but black oblivion…
End
