Hey everybody! Spur of the moment writing. I couldn't help it. Had to write one, though it's a bit too short... Hope you guys like it! Love this pairing so much.
"It has to do with our end, after all." Those words that were said so casually, so nonchalantly, as if he were just commenting on the weather, ignited the rage and helplessness that Tsunayoshi felt at that moment.
The flash of anger was so sudden and so strong, that it was only after he had done it that he realized the magnitude of what he had done. The others that were there, Fon, Yuni, Collonello, Verde, and M.M. who was holding a sleeping Fran, they were shocked into silence at the uncharacteristic move that the usually gentle exhibited.
He had just hit Reborn. He had just struck this man, this powerful Arcobaleno. This man was the one who had meticulously tutored him and the all his friends, his guardians. And for once, he did not care for the repercussions that would come for his strike.
This man was the one who he had spent his days and nights with for so long; so long that he could no longer remember a time without him. He was the one whom he developed such a deep, tight bond with. The one that he could trust his life with! One of the few he would willingly die for. To just resign himself to death, what was he thinking?
Tsuna cast a heated glare at the baby, who for once did not make eye contact, eyes hidden by the shadow of his ever present fedora.
"Wasn't it you?" He questioned voice gradually rising with each word, a tinge of unspeakable grief coloring his anger. "Wasn't it you who always told me to never give up!"
His frustration only increased in size as Reborn made no move to retaliate from his barb, "What makes this different?" He demanded into the silence.
A part of him wanted to do nothing more than shake the answer out of the man. "Why am I not allowed give it my all for you? Why?"
"Tsuna. That is enough," said the Sun Arcobaleno, finally looking up at the brunette, "Go home."
Tsunayoshi stiffened at the cold order. This frostiness, he had heard multiple times but always directed at his enemies, never at him. He almost turned away, hurt and a slight feeling of betrayal creeping into his heart. But had he done that, he would have missed the flurry of emotions that passed through his tutor's eyes.
He was almost overwhelmed the by the raw emotion he saw. The tight reign that the hit-man usually held with expert ease had, for a second, faltered. And for once, Tsunayoshi felt as if he could see everything that the man hidden away. Worry, Regret, Sorrow, Anger. They were all there for him to see.
"Go Home," said Reborn softly before briskly ordering the others to leave to have the meeting. He would say no more to the brunette, his student.
Tsunayoshi closed his eyes and suddenly all the anger just drained out of him, replaced with a weariness that made him feel a lot older than he really was. He bit his lip to prevent himself from spilling what he actually wanted to say. Even if he went, it was not complete with Reborn.
"Okay. For once, I'm going home then." He said with a weak smile before turning away from the group and leaving.
At first, he just walked slowly, silently thinking of what happened. But the more he thought about it the more his emotions rekindled and the faster he walked. He didn't know what to do.
He began running. Did he want to just leave it like this?
His run turned into a blind sprinting, only to stop as he slammed the wall next to him. "What the hell is that Reborn?" shouted the brunette angrily to the empty street. There was no answer.
He hunched over, shaking, a hand covering his face, "What should I do?"
Poor Tsunayoshi. Things aren't going right at all. ):
